Hi There!
My versa loses connection with my phone (nexus 5x) during bike excercise and thus shows no route on the map. I know I have gps, because Strava app shows it right.
Is this a bug in the software from the Versa?
I tried to start an excercise from fitbit app, but only walk, run or hike does gps. (no bike. why not?!?) so i choose hike. now i have a hike excercise with hr and ps data. this this excercise shows after sync with strava in strava as hike. in strava i change hike in bike.
now i have bike excercise in strava with hr and gps. after a while just from magic, the ecercise in strava has been changed back into hike again with no hr data anymore.
I know that fitbit versa is not a swiss watch, but at least it should be working as advertised!
connected gps is not not working. People at Fitbit, can you fix this?

Hello everyone. Sorry to hear about your issues with the Connected GPS feature. I would like to reinforce the idea of refreshing the link between your phone and your Versa. You can try going to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there. Restart your phone and restart your device. After this try syncing them. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on. Also which phone are you using? Is it compatible? If your phone doesn't show as compatible that doesn’t mean it won’t work it just means that it hasn’t been tested by our team. Still give a go and check these additional suggestions in the help site.
Let me know how it goes!

Hey,
I'm on a Pixel 3 XL which is on the official tested list but my phone consistently drops the connection despite always initially connecting before I set off. I have only tried this with cycling activity. I'll try with walking this weekend though I've just noticed walking or hiking is not a Versa exercise option anymore and so I would have to log it using a connected gps exercise. Another Fitbit oversight! Ho hum.

Which suggests that the statements about the Fitbit 'compatible' list are meaningless?
Ironically having given up on connected gps I tried it this morning and amazingly it connected. I haven't changed anything, gone round deleting bluetooth connections etc. It just worked. Then when I tried in on a 30 min walk this afternoon it simply said 'connecting' the entire time. And the phone gps was working just fine! But I now find that the phone and the versa won't sync, which is much more of a problem.
For the Fitbit moderators who keep posting the same message about referring to the approved list - it is really quite insulting. There are obviously a lot of users who having paid a fair amount of money for a tracker are trying everything to get it to work as advertised and simply getting frustrated. I'm sure there are many, many more who simply give up. I've bought two different Fitbit products now and unless I see a real improvement in the software there won't be a third. In fact if I can get a refund on this one I'm off to get a Garmin instead. They may not have the design aesthetics but it seems they work.

@SunsetRunner Drops drops drops. With Fitbit app version 2.74.2 it works on Pixels, just got a confirmation from another poster.
@Frank75 Roll back the fitbit mobile app version (if you're on android that is - sorry can't recall) to 2.74.2. Don't give up.

Do a Google search on fitbit 2.74.2 The results will be mirror sites. Once you have found the site, delete the Fitbit app from your phone. Then download 2.74.2 and select open to install it. Let me know if this works fot you or if you have any questions.

Do you know if I upgrade the firmware to 3.0 I can reinstall 2.74.2? I don't trust other version of android udpates.
Currently i'm on firmware 2.11 I believe with phone app 2.74.2.
Thanks

@Frank75 You synced just before starting the exercise, perhaps rebooted devices, made sure app can run in the background? 😄
