Fitbit Versa syncing issues

I’ve had three Fitbit Versa’s now that have stopped syncing after a couple of months of use. My steps stop syncing, the time won’t update, it states that the Fitbit Versa cannot be found & one where the screen started acting up and eventually stopped syncing. Every time I’ve chatted in and tried the steps given to resolve the issue but the steps have been unsuccessful and Fitbit issues another replacement. After arguing with fitbit because they cannot provide answers to why this keeps happening and clearly have not resolved the issue as it keeps happening the best they have agreed to do is replace my Fitbit Versa with a new in box same model. (This will be #4 & I’m still waiting to receive the replacement after two weeks as I’m told that’s the process — they refused to upgrade me to the Fitbit Versa 2 even with all the issues and time that I’ve had to go without having a Fitbit) With the Fitbit having a year warranty I only have four months left on the warranty and I’m worried I’ll eventually be stuck with a defective product due to the problems I’ve continued to have. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced these issues or if I’ve just been unlucky (maybe due to that fact that two of the replacements were refurbished) or maybe I have been doing something wrong? (They advised overcharging/charging overnight can result in a defective Fitbit which seems a bit extreme and doesn’t explain all of the Fitbit’s that I’ve gone through) I’m debating if I should use the replacement or if I should look into buying an Apple Watch. I have an iPhone which they have advised is compatible with Fitbit.

Had my for 6 hours and identical problems to what has been stated.  Sitting 6 inches away from mobile and versus and states no device found.

Sending this back.

Wise move. This is not a product Fitbit should ever have put out if they couldn't make it work.

I have followed the steps and it works fine for about a month & then stops synchronizing.

I had to return my fitbit. They sent another and this one has worked fine so far.

So many people have syncing issues. I have a fitbit versa and it constantly has synching issues. Tried 10 times today but still no luck. I must say fitbit software/firmware is the worst I ever used. I have used a cheap $35 generic health monitor watch with heaps of functionality and the software that syncs every time without failure and can seamlessly update it firmware unlike this product. Unfortunately I got this product for my birthday.

It seems crazy that Fitbit just allows this problem to carry on - surely an app that works on more than a few phones is not that hard to create for a company that size?

Hope you get something worth having for your next birthday!

Mine works most of the time but oddly enough today it has decided to not cooperate.  I generally remove it and then reinstall but I agree getting pretty old and I will not replace this one with another fitbit.  I will go to the Apple Watch.
Thanks

I am currently on my 4th fitbit versa and I continue to have syncing issues.  I am so fed up with this now. I will never advise anyone to get one.

Do that.  I'm on my 4th in less than a year.

I have had mine for over a year and having the same issues. I have tried everything to fix it and nothing has worked. I have been a Fitbit customer for 8 years and sadly will be going to an Apple Watch after this. They don’t seem to want to stand behind their product.

Make sure no other device is connected. Fitbit watch won't connect to 2 phones. 😉

It’s ironic this popped up today. My latest versa 2 just died, as so to speak. It won’t hold charge or sync with my phone. I’m done. My husband switched to Apple Watch a few months ago and loves it. The price difference is not worth the aggravation. This is probably my 5th Fitbit watch in maybe 3 years.

Same here! I was faithful for 3-4 years. I’m done. Going to Apple. Aggravation not worth the difference in money. My husband switched a few months ago and he’s very happy.

I thought things would get better once google took over but sadly it seems it’s still the same

my versa 2 is working for now but when it dies it will be getting replaced with an Apple Watch

I rarely comment on this anymore as if you say something Fitbit doesn’t like they remove the post

Same! All my fitbits always stop syncing. It’s a common defective problem with the watches. I just bought my sister, mom and mother in law the latest versa and sense and they won’t work because they don’t connect to the Wi-Fi and don’t sync automatically. My mom is still waiting for Xmas replacement watch. It’s very irritating! I have to constantly “remove” and add again to my profile 😠
