When trying to log my daily weight in the Fitbit Today app on my watch, if I put in 164.1, I'll see 361.7 logged in my account. This error has forced me to disregard this feature entirely, and I am considering throwing the device away altogether. It's very demotivating to see such a large incorrect gain
I’m having this issue on Ionic Fitbit. Log 131 and showing nearly 300! Keeps telling me I have about 160lbs to lose!
Best AnswerIf you put it into the app instead of the watch, you get a good reading. For some reason it says that it's using US measurements, but it's recording in Metric and then the phone is doing the conversion the wrong way.
Best AnswerI wonder if there is a way to go back a version until they get the issue resolved? I only use one of the new features of the update anyway, which I can live without until the issues is resolved.
Best AnswerI just dealt with FITBIT Chat - found out my phone was not compatible with FitBit - I have a newer phone than what is on their list. Here is the list they provided me. https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2315
They suggested that I get a phone that is on this list - or wait to see if FitBit will provide an update to become compatible to my Moto Z4. I will wait!
Best AnswerI have a compatible phone and OS and it’s happening on my brand new Versa 2. Makes the calories feature wildly inaccurate and useless. Fitbit, please fix!
Best AnswerBrian:
Almost fixed the issue.
There still seems to be some sort of rounding error, as though the weight I enter is manipulated and then unmanipulated. For example, the past 2 days, I have logged 241.2 and 238.4 pounds on my Versa 2 watch, and the app has recorded 241.1 and 238.3 lbs, respectively, and my Vesra 2 watch says I have 38.3 pounds to go. This is definitely an improvement, but their fix appears to be somewhat inelegant.

Best AnswerOk, another update just pushed to me today and it looks like it fixed the logging issue. I guess i just had a delay in getting the update available a few days ago.
Best AnswerI don't trust apps like fitbit, there is always some problem and it never shows the real results. You should go old school with that, just set a goal for yourself, exercise and use a scale to measure your progress. You can never go wrong with that. The only problem with scales is that some of them are measuring only in kilograms and i don't understand that and it's too much for me to convert it myself. When i moved to Europe everything was in kilograms and i had to use a converter that can quickly give me results for stuff like "150 lbs to kg" to really know my weight. I used it for everything and it is great, in a few milliseconds you get your results and you are good to go!
Best AnswerThis is so helpful thank you! It’s very frustrating that the weight I log on my watch is consistently 0.1lbs above what appears incorrectly on the app immediately after....
Best AnswerI have exactly the same problem. But in reverse to the earlier post. I enter weight on versa watch (which it says is in kg), this gets taken as a value of lbs, and converted to kg! doesn't always do it wrong, just sometimes. So this morning I lost 39.3 kg of weight overnight!.
Support chat with Fitbit agent described the problem. Their answer? Well don't do it that way. Use the Fitbit app on the phone. I pointed out that hey have added the feature of entering data directly on the watch, which is convenient, but doesn't work properly. They just repeated - Don't use the watch, use the Fitbit app.
Completely ignored the fact that I'm raising a bug report with the watch software. No intention of addressing it, even though there are '00s of reports of similar problems. Then asked for a feedback report on my 'support experience' !!!!
Best AnswerHm. The support agent I spoke to today didn't even acknowledge there was a problem. Juts told me 'if it works via the app, then don't use the watch to enter values directly!. Didn't give any indication that they were aware of a problem, or work on a fix.
I asked, 'why add the feature to the watch of entering data, then not appear to try and fix it when problems are reported.' Very poor user support experience.
