I'm having the same issue.  Have been for probably a month now but thought it was somehow my fault.  Now that I see that suddenly everyone else is having this issue,  I know this is a Fitbit malfunction.  Smh...

I, also, think it is a Fitbit problem. If they messed it up surely they could fix it. Anyway, I have given up and bought a different smart watch. It hasn't arrived yet, but my fingers are crossed that I won't have to go back to fitbit.

Me too! My fit dies after about 7 hrs. It is also not detecting and reporting my hrs of sleep. I charge it a bit before I get ready for bed to ensure it will last through the night. While it still has battery, it won't register my sleep. I have to keep all these records in order to get a insurance premium discount through my work.  This is causing me BIG issues..  Help!

Mine has just started doing this too. Fully charged at 10pm, 0% by 8.30am. Very disappointed.

Vmart, sorry to hear that you and so many others have fallen into the "Fitbit Trap".  I discovered earlier this year that if you don't buy direct from Fitbit, you receive substandard or non-existent service support.

I finally got so fed up with my Versa 2 draining the battery in less than 12 hours per day, that I charged it, turned it off.

Yes, I wasted $200 on the Fitbit smart watch, but I chalk it up to Fitbit selling out its customers when they sold our data to Google.  Big Brother is real!

I'm having the same issue just recently.  I'm just shy of 2 years and recently did an update now my fitbit won't last longer than 6 hours. What did they recommend?

Update:

I'm having this same issue.  I'm just shy of 2 years and all of sudden after the update It can't hold a charge.  I've tried restarting, turning off unnecessary things which we shouldn't have to do, cleaning the charger and still nothing.

Same issue here.  And to tell people they have to buy a new device is ridiculous. Mine issues started after the update so it's obviously something they did.

I am having problems with my Fitbit versa 2. holding any kind of charge. I bought the watch in February of this year . and it stop working in March.

It has not worked since March. However, I am still charged every month. for absolutely NOTHING!!!!!

I NEED MY MONEY returned to me. Immediately!

I paid over $200 dollars for this watch in February and it stopped working less than one month. (March) But fitbit is still. Charging me every month. This watch is a big rip off.   I absolutely hate this piece of trash.

Sincerely.

I've tried everything. Nothing works. I absolutely hate this expensive piece. Of garbage.  And I want fit bit to stop stealing money from my Card.

Uh, done everything - still needs to be charged every 10 hours.

Same!  I'm on my third versa in two years.  The last couple of weeks, it's continuously gotten worse.  Now it won't stay charged more than a few hours. Customer support won't do anything but tell me they don't see anything unusual with my battery usage.  Losing 1% battery life every couple of minutes is not normal!  I'm definitely going with a different brand.  This is ridiculous!

I have fitbit versa. Won’t hold charge after 5 or 6 hrs. I plug it in. After alittle while it shows the charge I had when it went dead. Does not go to zero. Goes dead when showing it’s charged. Put in charger for a short time it comes back on. Can anyone help me.

I tried all the above. Versa won’t hold charge. After a few hours it goes dead. I plug it in and it shows a charge after a few minutes. What’s causing this.

I had the same problem with my versa and of course happened right after the one year mark so it was not covered under warranty.  I am on my 3rd fitbit in 4 years. The quality isnt there. I am starting to wonder if they sabotage the sofware on purpose to force you to purchase a new one. They will offer you $50 off a new device. My charge HR screen went black after a year.  There is definitely something wrong with their software. I will never ourchase another product from them. 3 strikes they are out!

That describe my experience with Fitbits too. I recently bought an Apple Watch and I LOVE IT! Still sad about my pristine (but bricked) Versa sitting useless in a drawer after an overnight software update I did not ask for.

Same!!! Was fine until about 2 days ago!!!

Yep, I think they do it on purpose. I have had 2 in 3 years, and now I have
a Garmin. I like it almost as good. The app is just not as user friendly as
fitbit, but the device is great.

This many people having the exact same issue is NOT a coincidence.  And your method isn't working for most of us.  You will definitely lose customers if a better solution is not found soon.  I've been a Fitbit user since 2013 and would hate to have to change.

I am having the exact issues. Nothing has worked to fix. Like everyone else very disappointed. My watch won’t hold a charge or stay connected to my phone.

I resolved my issue by getting an Apple Watch. I love it and won’t go back to Fitbit because I believe they intentionally *brick* their products to force you to purchase a new fitbit. My Fitbit was in excellent condition and only 18 months old, then the did an update and it was USELESS.

I have had several fitbits since 2014. . They never last 3 yrs. Should last more than a year. Buy a new one and have nothing but trouble. My versa 3 does not let me answer phone on it. Will not stay connected. Fitbit sent me new one. Still does not work. That’s why I paid extra for the versa 3 to be able to answer my calls. Has never worked I. And their Customer service is no help. They try to blame it on customer. When this watch plays out. I too will be going to Apple watch. I’m tired of the lack of service. I like fitbit but they been nothing but trouble. Me and my whole family use them but my next watch  will be Apple.
