I cannot get text notifications on my Versa if I use Message+ app. If I switch to Whatsapp, notifications work on my Versa. But not many of contacts use WhatsApp. Does anyone else use Message+ for texting? If so, does it work with your Versa?

@AlejandraFitbit I've updated fitbit app and uninstalled/reinstalled twice. This doesn't seem to be an issue with us not doing something correctly. The app isn't communicating to the watch when it comes to text messages.
The fact that a third party app is able to do this and that this issue arose upon updating our watches indicates something went wrong with the update and a patch is necessary.

My Fitbit app is up-to-date, and I have done every single other troubleshooting option that Fitbit has suggested, all to no avail. The only thing that has worked is using the Fit Notifications app to get my text messages. If a third-party app can get this to work, it is obviously not a problem with my phone, my Versa, or my settings on either of those devices. It has to be a problem with something on Fitbit's end of things, and I strongly suspicion it has to do with the update that was done a couple of weeks ago. Everything was working fine before that, I did not make any changes to anything other than doing the update, and then after the update, the text message notifications stopped. This has been frustrating enough on its own, but it's becoming even more frustrating when Fitbit keeps recommending the same troubleshooting options that I have tried multiple times, rather than owning up to the fact that it's most likely a problem with the update that they put out. Please just fix the problem!

I absolutely agree with the others. Everything was fine until the new update (.15) was released. Like the others have stated, if a 3rd party app allows us to get our text alerts on our Versa, then obviously something is wrong with the latest update. Each and everyone of us has done every step recommended to try to fix it, some of them multiple times, and none of them were successful. The whole reason I got rid of my Michael Khors watch and got this one was the fact that Versa received text alerts when the Michael Khors one didnt. Kind of a waste now.

Since I have stopped using the Verizon Message+ app, and went back to using the standard Samsung Message app, I have started getting my text notifications. In fact, the new update is pretty sweet in the fact that I can answer texts on my Versa. Only quick responses that you have to set up in the FitBit app, but nice nonetheless! I didn't get any kind of 3rd party app, or have to unpair my watch, or any of that.

Mine says there are no updates available. I do hope this issue is resolved soon.

Mine also stopped receiving text notifications after the update but then I just realized that I am not receiving text notifications on my phone as well. My phone will sound but there wont be the icon on top. So I went to settings, then apps, then messages and saw the notification blocked. I switched it to allowed and it is working now.

@AlejandraFitbit My app is updated - this issue started with the firmware update for the Versa. Having response messages does not good if the message does not come through! Changed from Messenger+ to Messenger - that does not help either.

I have an iPhone 8 and everything worked fine until the latest Versa firmware update.
Tried resetting iPhone, restarting Versa, nothing changed. Went into the app and turned off notifications, sync, turned notifications back on, sync...worked for about 2 hours, then stopped receiving notifications on my Versa.
Would appreciate if Fitbit could give us some help / guidance with this issue.

Chat support told me it's a known issue for message+ but could not provide timeline. I recommend chatting support so the can add you to the ticket. Maybe the more people they know it affects the faster a solution will happen. Otherwise I'm returning

Hi Alejandra,
Thank you for sending.
I read thru all.
Tried everything.
Still no notifications. I was receiving last week and they've stopped just as others have said in this thread. Has there been a resolution?
Thanks!
Stacey

Okay, this morning my Veraa is not receiving notifications of calls or texts. I restarted the Versa and restarted my phone. Bluetooth and location are on. Bluetooth says it is paired with Versa. Suggestions?
