I spoke to support via Twitter and they told me they launched a new update for the fitbit app yet there is no update showing up.  Ugh. I finally gave up and changed clock faces today after another error.

I’m thinking they have got a lot of work to do on their side. Can’t have that many watches out here that have been fine until now.

FYI to everyone that has had issues with this clock face, I just received an update for the Fitbit app in the Play store.  I was told by support that they updated the app and I'm hoping it fixed this glitch.  I will test it out again tonight.

and this..  is why despite owning a versa2, i'm starting to look at the garmin venu.   i should not have to sleep an uninterrupted 3 hours just to get a sp02 reading.  a reading.. on a device which to this point is yet to give me a single sp02 reading at all.  not sure which i find more frustrating..  this.. or the fact there's no manual way I've found with a button in app or on the device to force the device to check for a device firmware update.    this is my 2nd fitbit (the first being a charge2) and if this is to be the trend of their product development ...   garmin may yet get my business.

I'm with you. Tried uninstalling the watch face and reinstalling it.
Nothing. On top of that, the device has started to delay the onset of sleep
consistently by about 2 hours, making it appear I got 2 hours less sleep
and potentially confounding the "requirements" for the recording/displaying
of the Sp02. Even tried manually sleep start and stop times; no dice.
Doubly frustrating as I really do like the new watch face. Does anyone from
FitBit even monitor these posts/requests for support?

i highly doubt they do.   their app update busted the ability to review previous day calorie burn info and met goals.  took me having to submit a ticket and prove it was their back end - to get them to fix their back end mess just so my app would work again properly.   i'm betting it'll take another strongly worded support ticket to get any traction on this issue as well.

Yesterday I went into the clock faces in my Fitbit app, and changed my
clock face to a different one, then completely uninstalled the SPo2
Signature clock face, then rebooted my watch and phone, then went back
into the Fitbit app and installed the SPo2 clock face again.

That worked. This morning I woke up and synced my Fitbit app on my phone,
then left the app alone and within an hour, my clock face showed 92%
average results for last night.

I actually uninstalled it twice yesterday because I fell asleep earlier
last night while watching tv and my watch started recording before I went
to bed. The only way to stop that is to uninstall it and reinstall it to
start fresh. It holds onto to files until you uninstall and reboot. High
maintenance clock face.

Yes, it should show after sleeping with the watch, but in the morning the SpO2 value is "--%".

If the SpO2 is in the watch, then it should not matter what face is in effect while sleeping.  If you change face to the SpO2 Signature, it should get the values in the device, right? The SpO2 Signature face is a dumb face and I prefer another analog face generally.  But I can change my face to the SpO2 Signature to see the SpO2 level if it actually shows up.

What I actually wanted is an 'on demand' SpO2 monitor so I can check my oxy saturation during the day, like the finger monitors give.  This seems very limited.  Perhaps I'm missing how to get an instant on demand reading and it is 'operator error' but so far I am disappointed.

"--%" is not what I paid $279 for.

I'm similar. I want to measure my oxygen levels properly. I'd settle for an hourly reading. I continue to just get a 50/50 response too. Some nights I get a reading and some I do not!

Same problems as everyone else.  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app on my smartphone.  Didn't work.  I tried changing clockface and then setting it up again; didn't work.  Finally I rebooted the watch by holding the button down until I got the Fitbit Logo.  The watch automatically rebooted and everything seems to work for now.  In my experience when this company releases anything new (new os., new program, new clockface; pretty much anything) it is glitchy for a while until they work the bugs out.  Not too impressed with the management of fitbit.  Extremely unreliable (yes, the management and the watch) for example users have been begging for a place to manually log BP, Glucose just so as they can track everything in one place.  It has been three+ years now and management is TOTALLY unresponsive to our needs.  If I had to do it over again I would buy an Apple (as much as I abhor them) which does all the things I want.

I have had the watch face installed since it came out, and only had 3 SPO2 readings on the watch face screen, the rest of the time it shows nothing for SPO2 measurement.

I hear you, Flyboytwo

I've put in an order for a Galaxy Watch 3 to see if that is a better O2
tracker. But that has poor battery life, they say. I have an old LG G
Watch on WearOS that mostly works as I'd like. Over 5 years and it still
gives me about 80 hours of battery life. And I have a face on it that
shows both phone and watch battery levels. But sadly, no sleep, no SpO2
tracking. Just a dumb old watch that extends my phone for SMS and email
notifications.

Someday we will get the features we want all at once. Until then, remember
to vote.

Yo Fred67,

You are confirming what most of us have found out by our own sad experience.  The part that bothers me is that nobody ever mentioned this in the myriad reviews of the Versa 2.  I've watched several YouTube reviews, plus googled for online reviews, but nada about the abysmal failure of the Fitbit developed and released SpO2 Signature face that is designed to look like it would give us real time on demand SpO2 readings.  But the fact is they have hoodwinked us all.  I'm returning this turkey.

I find the SPO2 working consistently since moving the watch up a bit & snugger. Perhaps this gets it away from any interference due to bent wrist. 👍🏼💓

Mine works now following deleting all click faces, resetting versa 2,, deleting and reinstalling Fitbit app on phone, reinstalling clocks.

Add my voice to the growing chorus! Installed the clock face and it worked on night #1, but 0 data following night #2 (with message "Sleep to update"). The Estimated Oxygen Variation chart looks wonderful on the app, but no data on the watch. Tried rebooting the watch. No change. Yes...frustrating after all the hype!!

Nope. Slept with it for two days(nights) still get a message “couldn’t read SpO2”

Hello Liliya,

I just went to my fitbit app health metrics and found that several charts claim 'no recent data' although I've updated to the latest firmware and worn the watch 24/7 since I got it a week ago.

---Breaths per minute 'no recent data, wear your fitbiit to sleep';

---Heart rate variability HRV 'no recent data, wear your fitbiit to sleep'

---Skin Temperature 'no recent data, update your fitbit to latest firmware and wear it to sleep'

---Oxygen Saturation (SpO2) 'shows values for 4 days, then no data for 2 days, then one more reading' although most of those never showed up on the SpO2 Signature watchface, instead showing '--%'

---Resting Heart Rate shows data for each day

I'm not sure what your criteria for 'working' is but this fails mine.  I do like the 4-5 day battery life.
