Based on the press release for the Versa 2, an spO2 sensor will become standard and be used primarily for the sleep score.
Does anyone know if this will also be used in fitness tracking? i.e. when working out, would O2 levels be measured and considered when calculating the overall fitness score?

I don’t disagree with you and no one has been to explain the rationale for the slow roll out.
The only similar thing I have to refer to is my Wyze camera which added specific ‘Person detection ‘ in addition to Motion Detection. This made a lot of sense since I don’t care about cars driving by Which triggers Motion alert.
But I do care about a person walking up to my front door.
Wyze rolled it out to all users in an update but it was buggy. Sometimes it worked ; most times it did not. Wyze has recently pulled it from the app as they work on it some more.
Perhaps FitBit is trying to avoid that so those of us lucky enough to have it are a beta test subjects in a way?

Please, could you give us some updated information about it ? I've been waiting for the Fitbit SPo2 update every single day in my Versa 2 and nothing comes.
Is there any schedule to release it ? Sometime in 2020 is really vague. It means it could be in up to 9, 10 months. It's sad to see such an important feature announced so long time before its availability.
Thanks,
Carlos

Did Konorok or Mossman0329 read any of the replies above your posts?
There is good information in many posts above , insofar as
A. Doesn’t matter if you are premium or not
B. Doesn’t matter when you
bought your Versa ( two bought same place ,same day, same time in our house..one has EOV and one does not)
C. Two FitBit moderators have already commented on slow roll out.(but not said WHY )
i know these threads end up long but often if you just scroll back and read a page or two it can .. and in this case does....provide the answer to your ask.
Try it and you will see you are not alone with your problem or your frustration.

Even more frustrating (and seems to be a campaign of false statements) here is what appeared online 4 hours ago from T3 :
“As of this week, all Fitbit Charge 3, Ionic, Versa, Versa Lite, and Versa 2 users will be able to use the recently announced Estimated Oxygen Variation graph in the Fitbit app. This feature has originally been announced at August last year and began rolling out to some users in January, but from now on, all users can enjoy the extra data.
The new feature doesn't require any hardware update to the smartwatches and fitness trackers themselves; the sensors have already been capable of detecting blood oxygen levels, it's only the software that needed some extra time to catch up.”
I am updated on everything, firmware, apps, and syncing and refreshing but STILL NO EOV/SP2 on my 3 week old Versa2 that I bought because Fitbit advertised this feature. VERY FRUSTRATED, but as I can tell so far, I am not having the many other probs I am reading with their updates. Maybe I should have kept that Apple Watch after all!

And did you do a sleep track last night for it to appear or did it appear on its own? I just don’t see it appearing on mine even though as did do a sleep track. UGH.

Thanks for the reply and info. I will try again tonight! Maybe with a little luck the rollout (to all - supposedly) might include me.
