I purchased a Versa 2 nearly two weeks ago, and the touch screen has been intermittently unresponsive, for longer and longer stretches of time. Now, it isn't responding at all, and has been like this most of the day.
I tried restarting the watch multiple times, syncing, unpairing, repairing, and nothing is working. The only thing I haven't tried yet was a factory reset, since I can't navigate into the menus to be able to attempt it.
I'm fairly confident that it isn't any kind of water damage, as the only water contact has been brief and nearly nonexistent while I was washing my hands or doing the dishes, and seeing all the other topics about it, I'm thinking this may be a hardware error.
If anyone else has any ideas as to what could be causing this, beyond hardware malfunctions, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Update: managed to get it to factory reset, and it didn't solve it. The problem of the touchscreen not responding is still ongoing.

I have the same issue. Haven`t been able to use it for a month now.
They clame it is software issues, but i don`t think so.

Same issue here. Clock shows, but no swiping possible. Sometimes button is unresponsive too. This is getting progressively worse. Have tried restart, switch off - switch on, factory reset. No dice. Seems to hae started at the last update.

I have a theory about these touch screen malfunctions but it's only a theory at this point. To see if your problem is consistent with what I've observed, take the watch off and put it in the charging cradle for at least 1 day. After the 24 hours have passed, try the touch screen on the watch; you don't even have to take it out of the cradle.
If the touch screen is responsive again, i.e. it swipes up, down, right and left it supports my theory and I'll give you a suggestion that might fix the problem. No cost or returning to fitbit.

Hi Thurman, what is your theory? This worked for me but then after wearing for 15 minutes, it stopped working again.

I have been using versa 2 for a couple of weeks and it seems to have some problem with its display. Whenever I bring it in water it just turns off and even if I turn on it back manually it does however it is unresponsive to touch. It all started after the last update
