I have a Versa 2 and an iPhone X and cannot seem to get my text messages to my watch. All the settings are on to receive notifications on phone & watch. I had no issue with this and the blaze. Help please:)

I've started receiving text messages the last few days, there was another fitbit update last night and I was worried it would not work again but it is. Hope yours begins to work soon, it's extremely frustrating to pay what we do for technology for it to not work.

My wife had an iphone but we finally got it working. I hit them up on twitter and got a response that way. I think another user indicated they called support and got help as well. It seems like they haven't done the best to outwardly communicate this software issue.

Thanks John. I switched my text messages on my phone from mesaage+ to messages and it is now working. I think there is an issue with message+. So far it worked all day!

This fix worked for me! Have been very disappointed with not receiving texts on recently purchased Versa 2! iPhone 7 went to notifications, show preview, set it to Always! Now receiving texts on Fitbit! Thank you!!!

After no help from Fitbit customer service, which advised to wait for updates.. I changed the settings in my phone under notifications to always show preview and I have been receiving text messages ever since! Give it a try!

I switched from message + to messages and it is working bit not always. I'm considering getting the active 2 and return this. Not sure yet.

Thank you. I switched from message+ to messages and it is working sometimes. I am trying the galaxy active 2 to see which one I want to keep. I do know the texts email and phone works on that. Now if it helps me exercise...

I have a versa 2 (updated yesterday) and iPhone 7 (ios 13.2.2) and have been dealing with this issue for nearly two months now. Today I retried one of the steps and restarted my phone and now I am receiving texts on my watch. If you have tried, or if you have but you recently updated your Fitbit, you can try to go to your settings on your iPhone, notifications, messaging, and under show previews select either “always” or “when unlocked”. Hope this helps someone else!

I too was having problems receiving notifications on my watch. I have an iPhone 6s Plus. Called Fitbit support and they got it working. It was such an easy fix. Went to settings then Bluetooth clicked on the i with the circle around it next to versa 2 and turned on share system notifications. Can’t believe I worked on this for several hours last night and that’s all it took. 🤦:female_sign:
hope this helps someone!

I am having the same trouble as everyone else. I receive calls, Snapchat and Messanger notifications but cannot get text message to work. I have done every single "troubleshoot" that i have read online and have had no luck.
This is my third Versa (i had 2 Versas that kept breaking and i got told they both had software issues..) so now i have upgraded to the Versa 2 but if this doesn't work soon i may have to take it back and trade in for something else, its important i can view any important messages while in meetings and things without having to get my phone out all the time 😞
If anyone finds something that will actually make the text message notifications work with please tell me !

Hi all,
My phone: iPhone 11
My fitbit: Versa 2
So after reading some posts, I tried the following that showed messages/text and no preview when phone is locked.
*edited - 111919
Like others mentioned -
Settings => Notifications => Messages => Show Previews => Always
Synced the fitbit in app, then:
Setting => Notifications => Show Previews => When Unlocked
Synced the fitbit in app one more time
I made these changes after checking all other actions were followed as mentioned in previous posts:
- Under the Bluetooth settings and after the"i" button is clicked by Versa 2, Share System Notifications is on
- All notifications are on in the fitbit app under Versa 2 settings
- Notifications are shared with Versa 2. Confirmation should pop-up when connecting the Versa 2 to the phone. (I forgot the device under Bluetooth settings and re-paired the Versa 2)
Hopefully that works for others!
Chris

I literally just bought a new versa 2 as I was having this issue with my Alta hr. I’ve tried every suggestion that I’ve come across and NOTHING has worked. This is insanely frustrating.

Why do we need to do this?! This is such a pervasive problem you all need to patch this and update in your next release.

I have been fighting with this same issue since the end of September and just discovered for me all I needed to do was go into my phone settings > notifications > messages > and under the alerts section, I needed to toggle on Notification Center (the middle option). Previously I had changed my setting to show my text messages on my lock screen and banner and turned off the Notification Center. As soon as I toggled this back on, I started receiving text messages on my Versa 2. I hope this helps everyone else still struggling with this!
