I just upgraded from a Versa to a Versa 2 on Christmas and haven't had any problems with messages or appointments scheduled syncing to my fitbit from my Note 10+, though I have had to repeatedly reboot my fitbit daily.
This morning, I am receiving my calendar alerts but I am not receiving my text messages.
I have rebooted both devices, stopped the fitbit app and restarted it; I have not uninstalled the app from my phone, as the calendar events are working. I've been working on this for 2 hours.
How do I get my text messages to work?
Moderator edit: updated subject for clarity
@Sbtrumpet Fitbit should obviously fix this on their end but since they seemingly don't give a crap about Samsung/Android users as evidenced by the giant pink banner regarding iPhones we sadly have to come up with bandaid fixes for ourselves.
So I started using Google Messages and I have gotten text messages consistently for 48 hours. I think that the native Samsung messaging app is far superior but at least I don't want to throw my Versa 2 in a river every time I get a text message anymore. Samsung s10 user.
Best AnswerSeriously unacceptable - I requested an upgrade from the charge 2 to the versa for Christmas, never dreaming that I'd lose half the features I had before. My only reason for upgrading was so that I'd see a more complete version of a text message.
Best AnswerTotally is.
I did start using Google messages in the meantime, that seems to work way better than the Samsung native messaging app.
I am still pretty ticked about it; Google messages is seriously lacking in some of the features that Samsung messaging (Like voice memo) has.

Best AnswerI have a note 9 and a versa 2 everything was fine until my phone updated and now i can't receive any text messages
Best AnswerIt still will not work with the regular messaging app, which I prefer. Notifications working most of the time for message+ and other apps. It still can be spotty. 😞

Best AnswerI have not.
I tried after the last update (Wednesday I think it was). I set my text app back to the Samsung native app and did the whole reboot dance, still no text notifications.
Went back to Google Messages, getting notifications.
Still can't use my preferred messaging app.
I have a Samsung watch on order. This is re-dang-diculous.
Still can't get an answer from @Fitbit
Best Answer@DianeHJ You are using a Note 10+ 5G and a Versa 2 with the native Samsung messaging app and you are receiving text messages AND calendar notifications?
ETA: If that is the case, share what you did with Fitbit because they said they STILL don't have a fix.
2 Edit: I just switched my messaging app again and did the reboot thing again and again - Nothing.
I just got versa 2 have note 10 Plus and cant get texts. I'm returning versa I'm so aggravated. I just want to through at the wall. What a waste of money.
