Versa 3 battery draining in hours

I got my versa 3 as a gift afew months ago, and it has been great! However, since yesterday the battery has been draining in just a few hours. It goes from 100 to 6 in about 5-24 hours. This has never happened before and I think I might need a new battery. However, I have been swimming with it lately and I belive this is the most likely reason for it's sudden draining, even though it's supposed to be waterproof. Any help is appreciated!

Hi @Sculkyy - it is likely to have suffered water damage causing excessive load on the battery. Replacing the battery wouldn't help, and they are not repaired anyway.

You will probably need a new watch.

Occasionally restarting it may help, even factory reset but it is unlikely to.

As it's under warranty best to avoid catastrophic failure and get it replaced where it was bought.

If that is not possible chat via the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & support, Contact Customer support.

I had a software update yesterday and now I have the same problem , charged the watch while it was installing. Watch was at 100% 10pm it was only on the bedside table last night and this morning it’s at 77%.

Hi @Takhisis - Use Shutdown from the watch Settings menu. Wait at least 10 seconds [to allow it to complete] before placing it on charge to restart it and charge it. If it's already charged just push the button for a second and wait.also logout of the Fitbit App and restart the phone.

This may help, if not check carefully which features are now enabled, that might not have been previously or weren't working properly before.

Snore detection or SpO2 tracker app are guzzlers, see all from here How to resolve the Major issues causing short battery life.
