Hello!
I got a Versa 3 a few weeks back, and I've been having an issue with the strap. The top strap keeps just coming undone from the watch side for no reason.
I've tried 2 different Original Fitbit straps, and a 3rd party one. Same issue with all of them. I can hear it click in place when I fit the strap, but then I'll be doing something and it just falls off.

Same issue for me. Won't make it though a full workout or mountain bike session without falling off. I thinks it's just a bad design. No click and nothing to stop those little tabs from unlocking.
Very frustrating.

I worked around the issue by cutting a small strip of electrical tape (the rubberized kind) and taping it to the side of the connecting piece that faces the front of the watch. I still have problems getting it to connect and stay in but once it's in it stays in. There's even resistance when trying to take it out. At least that's my experience in the two weeks since I did this. (I wear a different band to bed than during the day so I swap bands every morning and every night.)
That being said, this is a workaround and not a fix. I shouldn't have to do this. There's obviously something wrong with the clasp on the top of the watch. Could be design. Could be manufacturing. Could be a combination of the two. Either way, it's on Fitbit to make this right.

Hi
So after complaining over and over I guess they felt bad so they offered me 50% off a new watch or free replacement which I was hesitant to do.
Well I have been wearing my new watch for a week and it has not come undone snug as a bug... thank you fitbit...

After trying several bands and all of them having issues staying connected even if it "clicks" into place, I simply gave up and superglued the contact point between the band and the clasp. Hands down THE WORST strap mechanism I have ever dealt with. With how expensive these are there should have been more thought put into making sure they stay put on our wrists.

Well it finally happened. Out cycling and my fitbit fell off. Was wearing it when I left, but gone when I got back.
Not buying another due to the problems I've had with this one. On the plus side it's given me the incentive to have the battery replaced in ny G-Shock.

Little point.
They weren't interested when I was a user, why would they bother now I don't have one? Best I'll get offered is a half price code for something that if it has a fault they'll mess me about about. If I'd bought the cheapest thing I'd understand, but it was £200 not £40. The G-Shock will keep me going for 20 years based on previous experience with a replacement battery every 3-4 years.

I have the same issue bought my Versa 3 4 days ago on Amazon, strap fell off straight away. Contacted Fitbit support who are sending me a new Sport strap as they say the classic is not available. Is the sport strap any better? If it still drops off, it's going straight back to Amazon! But what do I replace it with? Any suggestions, won't be a Fitbit I think.

Well I just got my new Fitbit Versa 3 less than a week ago and the strap keeps coming out on the top. The catch must be broken because it won't even click when you insert the strap. The strap just falls right off. I had my Fitbit Versa Light for the last 3 years with no strap problems at all, the batter just completely did where you had to recharge it multiple times a day.
I purchased mine from Walmart in their black Friday specials - anyone have experience trying to return it there?

I completely understand what you're saying and I feel for you I went through the same thing I can't tell you the numerous times it fell off luckily I caught it and there are a lot of money and this is like my third Fitbit I never had one problem with the other ones so finally I guess they got fed up with me calling and talking and they offered me 50% off of a another watch or a replacement so I took the replacement on my Versa 3 and I haven't had one issue with it since so they're definitely is a problem with the latch keep fighting with them that's all I can tell you don't back down cuz that's what they want you to do

I have had the same problem. I put a strip of plastic electrical tape along the outside of the part of the band that connects to the watch and that seems to have fixed the issue. I didn't complain to Fitbit for a replacement because I'm not convinced that a replacement will not have the same issue. I know it worked for @Mudge49 and that's great but I think that's more luck than anything else. So many people are having this issue that it has me thinking that it is either a design or manufacturing issue. I shouldn't have to apply tape to the connector to get it to work but it's been working this way for several months so I'll deal with it rather than gamble on a replacement.

Same problem-I can never wear it because it just falls off, big waste of money-when I addressed the issue with customer service, they said to send them a video of the problem?? How the heck am I supposed to do that while holding the phone-definite design flaw-will never buy a fitbit again, very dissappointed
