Versa Inaccurate Step Counts

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hello,

My first Fitbit but very disappointed with the Versa due to inaccurate step counts. I've read many posts about inaccurate step counts by other users as well and followed steps to resolve the issue but doesn't work (restarting the device several times).

I'm at office typing and every couple minutes, my steps are going up!!! Frusting for the price I've paid and fails to do its job it was meant to be.... I'm really hoping there will be a patch/update for this fix.

Please help if there were other solutions that might help me.

Thank you

Other than the step count, I use the sleep tracker. The sleep 'appears' to be accurate in recognizing sleep/wake periods. Having had a sleep study done in the past, I'm not certain of the stages accuracy. It's certainly not the same level of evaluation.

If the step count isn't reliable how reliable are the other applications, ie sleep etc?

Look at this as a « global idea » of steps.
I bought a Garmin Forerunner and it’s day and night for the steps count.

which one is more accurate?

I would go with my Forerunner all the way.

I'm experiencing this too. I counted 400 steps from bed to bus, and my versa says 1,200 steps! Im riding the bus and the steps counter is skyrocketing. I think the watch is betting I'm running because I have higher hr than usual, but man nobody can run at 70km/h. It's insane how inaccurate this thing is.
