Versa Lite can't update firmware

I've had my versa lite for 2 months, had no issues with it until the firmware update. Now I can't get it to pair with my Bluetooth to even do the update. Fitbit sent me a new one after assuring me that my phone is compatible (Lg G6). And it is not. I can't even get my phone to see it via Bluetooth. It did pair the very first time i set it up, then it would never sync correctly. I've done every trouble shoot tip they give with absolutely no luck. Almost $200 for 2 months of use. Great birthday present that now is junk. Totally disappointed, will NEVER recommend anyone to get one.

You may want to ditch the versa lite and get a versa 2. The lite is ok once you get it setup but it was a pain for me orginally. I just got a Versa 2 and it was a breeze to setup because it also has wifi. But I am trying to give my old one to my daughter and it isn't updating. Keeps failing or just getting stuck. I wish I hadn't tried a factory reset

I've troubleshooted my versa lite for 2 days. Today alone it's been plugged in with my phone next to it for 6 hours, same results update failed AND a frozen screen on the versa lite.  I've only had this since Christmas,  this is ridiculous.

I’m so frustrated and I feel like my versa lite is defective.  It worked well for 1 day. 1!   It stopped registering my sleep, and I decided to do an update and well, I’ve been trying allllll day. It’s not properly syncing and I’m not at all satisfied.  I have an iPhone. I need some assistance.  I’ve tried everything. Help!!!

I'm having the same problem as many others on this board. I've tried EVERYTHING. After troubleshooting efforts failed me repeatedly, I called to find out that I can use a computer with Windows to install the firmware/update... but I don't have a computer with Windows. I have an iPhone X and a Mac. After this not-super-helpful phone call, I started from Square One in hopes that something would be different, and when it wasn't, I switched to my work phone (another iPhone). No luck. Then --and this is embarrassing-- I BOUGHT A NEW Versa Lite. (I really liked it for the two months that it worked.) Aaaaand I'm having the same issues with the brand new one. So I've purchased two of these devices and now have two watches that don't work. I do not have time or patience left to deal with this. What's next?

Contacted Customer Support via chat.  Now I have more errors than I had originally.  What is "tile migration error"?  Anyone know?

I have found this myself 😞 I was bought a versa lite for mothers day and am yet to be able to use it after my 2nd one as neither watch will work. I was sent a replacement from fitbit after 3 veeeeery lengthy phonecalls and still the replacement directly from them isnt working. So disappointed as I actually love fitbit, but will now be switching to Garmin.

Hi, I’ve had my Fitbit Versa Lite for maybe 2 months. It stopped giving me text and phone notifications, so I called Fitbit helpline. They tried troubleshooting and taking me through several steps to correct but to no avail. So they sent it to their engineering dept and said they’d be contacting me, but couldn’t say when. Really?? So I decided to return my Fitbit back to factory settings. I removed it from my Bluetooth, deleted my Fitbit app, and decided to start all over as if I just received it. Perfect idea, I thought! I restart my phone, turn on Bluetooth, download the Fitbit app. I turn on the Versa Lite and follow the prompts and input the code given. Then it says my Versa Lite needs to be updated, so I click enable update. It’s connected to Bluetooth, but doesn’t have the little blue circle with the i, next to it yet. It takes FOREVER, and then fails. I’ve tried this three times and it continues to fail. It’s my opinion that Fitbit has a firmware issue and won’t address it. This many people SHOULD NOT be having problems updating their Fitbits! Either fix it or take the Fitbits back. They’re too new to be having this issue. And they’ll continue to have it with every update. However, it doesn’t even matter if you can’t get past the first one! VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND EITHER!

Hi, would you please give the detailed steps you used to do this. Like what to click on, where on the computer screen to look, etc., or is it pretty self explanatory? Thanks so much.

So I plugged it into my laptop. What am I looking for now as nothing is popping up on the screen. It just says my Versa Lite has been added. To what? Where do I go to do the update?

Ugh this is happening to me again! I had this issue late December, after ten days I received a replacement versa lite. And now it’s done it again. Can’t complete the update so now I have a completely non functioning device. I’m so disappointed and frustrated.

I have not had any issues since my update in dec.  I used my original fitbit charger, the charger that came with fitbit lite never worked.  I plugged it to my laptop and did the update.  No issues at all since.   There was another update yesterday or day before and it updated and working fine.

I have exactly the same issues , my versa lite has stopped working after 5 months ,tried everything suggested without joy , support sent me a replacement pebble and it's stuck on update constantly it gets almost all the way then stops and fails , I've tried it on 2 different Android phones , my iPad and my windows pc via USB and nothing works ???? I've wasted countless hours trying to get the thing to update without success so now I have 2 useless versa lite pebbles and have had to go back to using my older Huawei band 2  ( which works perfectly !!) This just isn't acceptable.

I have finally got it working by the usb reset on my laptop ( although I
had already tried 3 times this way ) it finally succeeded today on the
fourth attempt and I now have a functional versa lite once more it did
take far too long in reality , as I am a truck driver so I've been at work
every day with little spare time to sit in front of a computer trying to
update a Fitbit !!!!
Definitely never buying another one and we have four in our household
Renewal time will most definitely be a different brand .
