Versa Lite stopped working

I performed an update on my Ipad (unrelated to my Versa) and my Versa Lite went crazy. The screen started pixelating, and I couldn't do anything with it. Now the Fitbit will do nothing. The only thing that will come up on it is 0% battery, although I have fully charged it. When I try to sync it to the Fitbit App the app can't find the Fitbit. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Luanmo. I am sorry for the delayed response.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing the details of the issue you've experienced with your Fitbit Versa Lite after you performed the latest update on your iPad. I appreciate your efforts to resolve the issue. Please try to charge your device by following these steps including a restart: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

If the issue still persists, I recommend doing a factory reset. Please note that you'll need to reinstall any apps on your device after the reset, and if you couldn’t sync your device, then any data on the Fitbit device will be lost. In order to do the factory reset, please do the following:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
    1. Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
    2. Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates that you initiated the factory reset.
  3. Once the Fitbit.com/setup screen appears, open the Bluetooth settings on your iPad and unpair the watch from the list. Then, please set up the watch back to your account with the instructions on this link: How do I set up my Fitbit device?

Let me know how it goes, I'll be around!

My screen is black! Nothing is showing. The app for settings doesn’t have an option to restart and when I do the restart through the device itself I cannot see when I press the button if the device has restarted or not! Everything still works though. I bought it through Amazon and only had it for two months! How can I get this resolved?!
thank you

I tried the reset, the second time I held the button I did get a long vibration but then nothing.  Now I can't even get to that point.  Totally dead and yes it is charged. Please let me know  if there is anything I can do, it is less then a year old.

Thanks,

JudiLL

My daughter has a Versa Lite and I did a factory reset so I could use it for myself, but it never came on after the reset. Now it is dead. I tried charging it for 2-3 hours, but still nothing. I’m not even sure it is charging. Please help! This is a barely used Fitbit, bought in October 2019.

@LiliyaFitbit Thank you for the tips. I have tried all the solutions under the article you suggested and still nothing. I left the Fitbit on the charger over night too and still dead. What do you suggest next?

i bought my Fitbit Versa Lite summer last year and up until january it has been working no problem. I installed this Fitbit app update in February and I have not been able to use it since!

The screen is now completely black, the device itself will not charge  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, hoping for another update. It will not find the device and when it does it will only show life on the screen when it is in the charger.

The app is staying that the device is full charged but once you take it out of the cradle it turns off. I have tried the factory reset indicated above, but this doesn't work! I have held the button In for practically a minute with no recognition from the device what so ever.

This is the second Fitbit that I have had problems with.

Thank you for replying to me, I have followed all the advice for charging my fitbit to no avail!

I have not changed my clock face since I bought the device, and I dont see what that would have to do with the working of my device. It stopped working when the new app update was done.

I am now left with a device that I can not use. I have tried it on other phones too and it still wont work .. trying to sync the device will show that the battery is full charge but once you take the device out of the cradle it stops working again

Thank

Hello I am having some issues as well.. it just synced 20 mins ago. I looked down and all I am getting is the logo going on and off the screen. It still has life according to my app. I put it on the charger and there is no indication that it's even charging like usual. I am holding the button thinking I too could do a reset. It does not turn off or vibrate and only blinks the logo on for about 20 seconds off for about 5. Please help this one isn't that old since it was recently replaced by fitbit for a detected screen.
