Hi. Just wondering how I might go about resolving a battery issue with my Versa. Had the versa for a couple of years with no issue and suddenly my battery now drains within a matter of hours in one day. I have changed settinga such as changing to manual for checking stats and a dim light and turning off step reminders but it still drains super quick. I literally only use this watch for a step count and active minutes, nothing else really, I have no music or wallet or any connection to messages etc.
Is there a way to test the battery to see if it's faulty?

What a joke. I bought the extended warranty and they still said it was a battery issue and gave me a 35% coupon.
Guess it's time to switch to a new smart watch maker.

I think you are absolutely correct!!
Why bother trying to keep up-to-date products that are 3 versions old?
Especially when they're in the process of having the Sense watch be the cornerstone of their extensive health monitoring for sleep, heart health, SpO2, mental health for starters.

Like others, I had no issues until after an update. My battery still lasts a few days but has decreased by about two days. I Have to charge it more than twice a week.

Fitbit support said that a recent update went out that should've fixed it - I'm seeing no difference.
Anyone else's return to normal?

Same for me! Only use it fior steps. Was charging every five days or so until 3 days ago. Batter dies within 2 hours of 200%. Just charged and date and time wrong too.

Patrick, I was only using mine for steps as my exercise too. When all this battery stuff began, the other things I was monitoring, heart rate, SpO2 and especially sleep, didn't work properly anymore.

I'm on an Android 11 device experiencing this issue.....so if it's the same thing I don't expect an iOS version to be the cause.
The Android Fitbit app shows they updated it on 4/28, although I'm not sure when it actually arrived on my device.

I recharged to 100%, returned to factory setttings and still the watch died within the day. My watch went from every 5th day charge to not holding a charge for 1 day. I’ve owned this watch for 23 months. I’m getting the sense I’m facing planned obsolescence from Fitbit.

So weird that so many are having the same issue. Mine has started having the same issue yesterday, draining within 6 hours from 100%, and the screen only works intermittently. Only had it 2 months! Must be a more widespread issue than a dodgy Fitbit if so many are experiencing the same problems!

I’ve had no notifications about anything even remotely related to an update, a patch or anything regarding fixing this very obvious widespread problem Fitbit is having.
For people with iOS, have you updated to 14.5?
Apple is supposed to be sending 14.5.1 to fix things screwed up by 14.5
If you updated to 14.5 and then updated to 14.5.1 did it fix anything?
I’m not sure I want to go with 14.5.1 if it doesn’t help.
Thanks!!

I updated to 14.5.1 and it did not fix this issue.

Real quick for everyone experiencing this…. Call, if it’s newer they will replace the main part (not band or charger). It’s obviously an issue. I called through the app… much faster response 😉

Hi! I’m from Mexico and I have the same problem! Have anyone know how to fix it? Is there any solution? I just got the Versa 2 in October 2020!

Disabling Bluetooth is not an option for those who depend on it for audio while driving or for meetings. However, I am finding that forcing the Fitbit app on my phone to close when not in use does seem to help some with the battery drain issue. I have always kept the Background App Refresh setting disabled for the Fitbit app but that does not seem to help. The last time the App was updated on my iOS device was 4/27 and that is about when I started having issues.

Excellent idea!
Is there a way to do it from multiple people?
