Versa isn't tracking my sleep

What is going on with the sleep tracker all of a sudden? The Versa was tracking my sleep wonderfully until about a week or two ago. Now it either doesn't track or says I've been up for hours during the night, which I know isn't correct. My Samsung Gear 2 never had this problem. Was there an update that I wasn't aware of that's messed this up? I'm about to send this watch back and go with another brand. This was a big part as to why I bought this. Nothing has changed in how I've been wearing it. What's happened? Anyone else experiencing this?

Hello @XEllenX and @cmbarnes17 thanks for joining the Fitbit Community. It's great to see you too @Loucamille@Bullet65, and @FergieFromFife I hope you're doing well. Smiley Happy

First of all, I apologize for the delay in the response. I appreciate some of you have come back and let us know that after a restart your Versa is now recording sleep properly. @XEllenX, please restart your Versa by pressing and holding the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen as mentioned on my previous post, then let us know if this solves your situation.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, have a great day.

Depress and hold the three buttons at once until you see the fitbit logo—a
few seconds— this should serve as a reset and the sleep tracking should
function again. Follow thread to early feb late January 2019 for more
descriptions of reset steps.

This didn't work. It has always tracked before without issue. What's the next step?

I lost my sleep tracking this week.  I also upgraded from the charge2 to the versa (only because it literally fell apart on my arm one day).  I have also had hr tracking issues.  I have had to restart several times in order to get it back over the last two months.  It’s amazing how many steps I get in with no heart beat.  I had my last Fitbit for years before I had issues and it worked properly until it fell apart.  I’ve had this what I consider a short period of time and it’s already malfunctioning.  What gives?

My fitbit  has never  tracked more than 4..5 hours of sleep.  It is totally useless..

I'm having the same problem as the others. I got the versa for Christmas and it has logged my sleep once which was defo incorrect. Again the charge 2 had no problems what so ever

I have tried all of these suggestions and I still don't see sleep stages. I had no problem seeing these with my original Versa. I have a Google pixel XL. It is frustrating as is the difficulty in reconnecting to my phone after charging Versa 2.

Try a reset. Check post or tech support for directions but if memory
serves, hold down button on left side plus on top right corner
simultaneously. Hold until screen goes blank and then fitbit logo comes
up— not more than 5-10 seconds and hopefully your fit bit will resume
normal function. Once i tried reset, mine had no further issues.

There’s also been a problem with app lately on ios, but seems to have
resolved itself.

I've only had mine for 2-3 weeks and the sleep tracking isn't working. I've done the reset andbI didn't see a difference. I tried to resync and it either takes a long time or it fails to detect the device even when my versa is literally next toy phone. I got this as a late Xmas present, this is very disappointing

I can see my sleep score on my phone but not on my devise. What can I do to fix this?

I find that you have to check that the phone and the watch have been synced properly. Also, it does take a while for my app to transfer the info to my watch.

If you still have problems, press and hold all 3 buttons until it restarts. Its like the "have you tried turning your computer off and on again" deal
