My versa lost sync after Android app update for Fitbit app.
Restart watch, phone, force stop app, turn off bluetooth and back on, airplane mode toggle. Finally did a remove devicefrom app. Device needed to be factory reset to re-add. Went through pairing and update process. App stuck on update after watch came online, and went through quick steps, notifications, etc. Running android 11, uninstalled and reinstalled app, re-signed in, Reset watch again to wait another hour for setup process, only to be Stuck again with app not recognizing watch. Watch version, 32.72.1.23

Yup, same here. At first the list of watches to pair with wouldn't even show up. I had a little hope when it was finally showing up the next day but same old story, won't pair to the app after doing all the usual troubleshooting steps. So incredibly frustrating.

Same old daily routine now, 9 days and counting, get up, delete & re-install everything, nothing changes still will not sync, do the same at lunch time and then again in the evening all with no luck, like you say incredibly frustrating and time consuming 😞

I tried and can't pair my device with the app on my phone and did all the steps zillion steps that we need to do

Thank you all so much for updating us on this situation and for all your efforts. Our team has been looking for a solution and has recently launched a new version of the Fitbit app. Some users have reported that with this new version of the app they're able to sync their devices again.
Please try to update your Fitbit app to the 4.28.3 version. If it doesn't work, please restart your phone and try the steps of set up as new device again:

Well I think it's worked, at least it's displaying the correct time, let's see what tomorrow brings 🤞

I did the Google thing to see if it fixed anything but mine showed a message to download the app & won't sync before getting the Google so it's something else. Very frustrating

The update that came in over the weekend seems to have fixed it. The app can communicate with the Versa 2 again. It's been a frustrating two weeks so I hope that holds true for everyone else with the same problem.
