Versa quit working after recent Google update

My versa suddenly quit working last week. It was working fine then stopped responding, blank screen. I set it on the charger thinking it needed charging. Nothing. I am hearing this is a common problem since the recent app update in October. I have a friend whose Fitbit Sense did the same thing a day later. What is being done to support those of us that can no longer use our Fitbit devices?

After a couple of by-the-script communications with Fitbit Help, they said to wait until the next update...huh???

Exactly same problem I started experiencing few day ago - blank screen, not charging and all dead. Mine is now 3 years old and has been working fine all the while 😞

My versa 3 froze yesterday with the logo on the screen, but NOTHING will work to fix it... 😣

I was finally able to do a factory reset, and it is now working. It was the only thing that worked.

My heart monitor is not active and Alexa stopped for 4 months since I
downloaded the Google app on my fitbit watch.
