I've been using my Versa for about 1.5 years. Last night it just randomly went off while I was wearing it. I have read everything on how to restart it and nothing has worked. It's seems to be dead. The battery was at around 80% when it just went dark.
I have used the charger, done the reset, deleted the app, reinstalled, attempted to re-pair, pretty much everything that has been suggested. There's been no reaction or response.
I see there's a firmware update. Might that have something to do with it? Again, I can't do the update because it won't go on. Not sure what's left to do as I can't seem to just email anyone directly about this so to the forums I go.
My mobile syncing device is a LG V30+.

Mine is the very same as no sign of life at all!
Cannot sync it or turn it on! It's not even 9 months old!

Thank you! This fixed the issue without having to delete app, etc.

Was able to contact customer support. Obviously it was outside the warranty. Tried everything we have all tried before. So coupon was the end result.
Coupon is actually valid on a few products. I'm not a smartwatch person but I don't like using nice watches on walks or hikes so Versa Lite it is.
I figured the Versa was a gift so why not get it. Still strange that the whole thing imploded right when that firmware update hit.
Best of luck to rest! At least their customer service was fast and clear. Not like any of this is on them.

I had this happen to me in March. First I tried pressing the three buttons on the side but that did not do anything. I held my finger over the sensor on the back for 10 seconds and it came back on. I have not had any problems since then.

Mine too!!! Alarm did not go off this morning and when I woke at 6 am and looked at my watch the time said 3:13 am???? Called the customer service number and no help...very frustrated!! I did the shutdown and now I can’t get It to turn back on or anything. Mine was a year old at Christmas time...should not be having issues for the age and good care that I take of it! Too much money for it to only last a little over year.

It seems as though everyone is having the same issue. Mine has died and won’t turn back on. The real question is.... what is Fitbit going to do to accommodate the software crash for us? I use my Fitbit everyday and really would like to get a new one sooner than later. Please help Fitbit customer service! We need you! 🙂

I absolutely won’t be buying another Fitbit. If there’s this many people complaining about the same issues on this community forum, how many people are having the same issue that aren’t logging in. Paying $150 +- for a disposable watch to have it work for less than a year is insane. I’ve enjoyed the watch while it worked, but there has to be other options out there. Bye Fitbit!

Same thing just happened to me as well tonight. Watch was working and now blank screen that occasionally goes grey with back light and then shuts off. It appears to be charging and syncing to app on phone cause when it is on it shows a higher percentage of charge and at midnight it reset my steps and was able to count some again. But now it shuts off again. Fitbit customer service what is going on!!!

Same problem here. Versa working perfectly in the morning and suddenly switched itself off despite having 50% charge. Tried all the hints and tips to bring it back to life but it's still dead. I wonder if Fitbit will do something about this if the problem is widespread enough to hit the press!
