Versa randomly went off, won't turn back on

I've been using my Versa for about 1.5 years. Last night it just randomly went off while I was wearing it. I have read everything on how to restart it and nothing has worked. It's seems to be dead. The battery was at around 80% when it just went dark.

I have used the charger, done the reset, deleted the app, reinstalled, attempted to re-pair, pretty much everything that has been suggested. There's been no reaction or response.

I see there's a firmware update. Might that have something to do with it? Again, I can't do the update because it won't go on. Not sure what's left to do as I can't seem to just email anyone directly about this so to the forums I go.

My mobile syncing device is a LG V30+.

Hi,

mine has done the same. Had my Versa about a year, been working fine. Had a Blaze before that. Yesterday my Versa started behaving strangely. It’s like someone was pressing all the buttons or the screen. Then it just died and hasn’t switched on since. I have tried all the suggestions. The app states it’s at 98% battery. Also it has synced once this morning even though the watch part isn’t turning on or doing anything. Weirdly it is still registering steps according to the app (I’m not using my phone, that’s stationary). I have logged it with the customer support. It’s weird that several of us have lost use of our Versa in a matter of days between us. Has to be an error in the latest update.

Since my Versa "died" a few days ago, I had no idea what to do. But I read your tip, I held all three buttons for about 10 seconds. And voila ! it woke up again...

That was a good tip ! Thank you.

I contacted Customer Services and chatted with a tech.   He went through a series of options, none of them worked, definitely defective product. Since mine is still under warranty,  he said I will get a replacement.  I will wait and see.Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

Mine got real hot while charging.  When I asked Customer Sevices if there was an issue with this model since so many people seemed to have this problem, he did not answer.   Tried to walk me through some processes to get it going, battery totally dead. Sending a replacement since my Versa is just less tha 6 months oldSent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

Try holding all three  buttons down for at least 10 seconds, all at the same time. That's what woke my Versa back to life. Mine out of warranty and the options offered were not acceptable to me..

I tried several times.  Did not work.  I finally contacted CS. They could not get it to work .  Still under warranty, hopefully will get a replacement. It has to be a defect in the design,  too many people seemed to have this problem. Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

Just as I thought....CS just contacted me and said that since my first watch was purchased more than a year ago (even tho neither that one or the replacement lasted more than 8 months) they will be glad to give me 25% off the purchase of a new one. I DON'T THINK SO!!

OMG!!! yes i forgot to mention that its logging a constant number of calories burnt or was it steps taken even if its just on the top of my table. like its 1,448 steps i think everdyay. I have not worn the watch for 7 days in a row then and i see these same numbers. crazy!

My fitbit versa did the same thing to me on 4/12/2020. I have not gotten it to work yet.

My versa lite was working Saturday morning (4/11/2020), when I looked at it around 8pm, the screen was white. I tried resetting it, changing the clock face (from the app on ,my phone because the screen on the watch is blank (white). None of this worked. Finally, today (4/14/2020) I did a live chat with a fitbit rep, after doing some trouble shooting unsuccessfully, I was told that they emailed me a form to fill out so they can send me a replacement. No explanation as to what could be wrong. So fingers crossed, I'll be getting a new fitbit. Good luck everyone.
