I purchase my wife a new Versa, to replace her lost Charge 2. It lasted about two weeks, until the screen fell off the body of the watch.
She was not doing anything energetic, just standing in a queue, when the screen separated.
Now about a month later, it has happened again. No strenuous activity just getting out of the car with handbags etc. Screen just fell off the body of the watch.
The first incident we just put down to bad luck and we were able to get it replaced by the Retail Seller (who said they had never heard the like before). But to have it again within a month with nothing that my wiffe was doing to explain why the Versa would fall apart. It wasn’t bumped, hit or otherwise rough handling.
This quality issue is a major concern and she is worried about wearing it least it should happen again and she doesn’t notice until way to late.
Apart from the unexplained trend for the Versa to fall apart on her, my wife was very happy with it, its features, battery life and all.
Would anyone else have experienced something like this

I purchase my Fitbit in May of 2019 I absolutely love this thing. Today while do it for the paperwork, sitting down I noticed that the screen had come apart. Previously doing paperwork I went to the bank and I made coffee for clients. Does anyone know will Best Buy replace it automatically.?

Hey the same thing happened to me with my Fitbit versa I happened to look down while doing paperwork and the screen was detached from The Watch. Can you let me know the link in which I can contact Fitbit to get my replacement?

That's a blessing that we do not have here in the United States. It is solely up to the individual managers at their discretion whether they will replace something. And they will tell you that that's not our product we just sell it.

Whether the company that you bought if from will give you a refund, depends totally on your customer protection laws where you live.
Here in the State where I live in Australia, states that the Retailer must warrant that the item is fix for purpose and must give a full 100% refund or replacement within the first year.
For the first 5 incidents with my wife’s Versa, the Retailer replace it each time. ON the 6th time, we elected to swap it for the Charge 3.
We did contact Fitbit, but while polite wanted us to send the broken device back before they would replace it, I estimated a 4 week turn around and that coupled with absolutely no certainly it would happen again, is why we chose to swap to the Charge 3

My screen has come away too for no reason. Unfortunately just out of warranty. Very disappointing.

I left Fitbit after being treated so bad by the company after my Versa screen separated. I got a Apple Watch 5 and I couldn’t be happier with it. I wouldn’t give Fitbit/Google another penny on my hard earned money.

I have the same problem, the screen just came off, i tried to using the strong glue to glue back but doesn't work. The warranty of the fitbit versa just expired in 1.5 months ago, bad luck to me. This is definitely manufacturing fault, fitbit should warrant their faults.

Fitbit are aware of the problem with the Versa mark 1, but they have acknowledged it and I doubt that they ever will.
I haven't heard if any one reported it for the Versa 2, so maybe that fixed in that model, but I wouldn't buy one given the history

I've had mine just over a year and the screen opened when I was in water the other day. I hadn't banged it on anything and am now quite gutted as I am sure it is irreparable as water got inside my watch 😪

Unfortunately that is the way it happens and I doubt that you will get much support from Fitbit at all, unless the consumer laws where you live give warranty protection for more than 1 year 😏

It's supposed to be waterproof. What's the point of a swim tracking mode otherwise? My Versa was fine in the water, until the screen decided to separate.

From memory, the Versa was waterproof up to a limited depth, it wasn’t a diver’s watch after all, but swimming was OK. Bit nothing is waterproof if the device comes apart.

Well, to be technical, no electronic is actually “waterproof”. They’re water RESISTANT. That means they can handle some submersion under water, but limited to a certain time, depth & other specifications. If it got damaged under water, then there was physical damage somewhere on the device that caused water to get inside.
As for the company, I gave up & just got an Apple Watch. Fitbit would not make it right when my screen popped off twice, so I stopped giving them my money.
