Versa won’t sync

I’ve had my versa since Thursday, during the day my watch will work fine and sync with no issues. When I get up the following morning it will no longer sync, Bluetooth connection keeps dropping (only when trying to sync). I factory reset Friday morning and Saturday morning, spent over a hour each morning installing and setting the watch up again. I’ve spent longer trying to get my watch to work instead of using it. I’ve tried everything, phone on/off, Fitbit on/off, delete and reinstall app, Bluetooth on/off. Other than factory reset I can’t see anything else that works! Very upset and disappointed

Bump,  mods this thread keeps falling off page one and we now have about 5 threads all entitled  versa not syncing.  Please sticky this so that others can see it and all the suggestions in it to get phones and versa to re sync.

And please combine all these threads about the same subject.  Thanks mods

Hello everyone, I hope you're having a great day. Smiley Happy

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for keep updating us about this issue affecting your Fitbit Versa. I'm glad some of you who have reported your issue got resolved, I'm very glad.

I understand your concern about this situation and I appreciate you have already tried all the troubleshoot provided. I'll make sure to report this situation to our team so they can take a better look at this situation.

@VFRMark, I would like to thank you for your suggestion, we will definitely take it in consideration.

@Krisheyvaert, I understand you were able to sync after turning off All-day Sync but please take in consideration that this feature is designed to establish a link between watch and phone so the watch can sync in the background even when the phone is locked (as long as Bluetooth is on). I'm glad disabling it helped you but enabling it might help other set of people who have not enabled this feature. I appreciate your feedback and would like to wish you a nice day.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding, please keep us updated.

Hi i am having the same issue. Now your asking me to unpair all my other Bluetooth devices? So I'm going to have to re add all these devices & what happens then, will it stop syncing again? How can all the other Bluetooth products cope with me having multiple Bluetooth devices & the versa can't?

Really what im saying when is fitbit actually going to fix all the problems im reading about??

Very dissatisfied & disappointed with my versa seems like it wasn't really ready to be released.

Can you please respond to the technical side of this post.

I have tryed shutting down the watch, repairing, tuning off my phone.... Also have notification issues too.....

Maybe I solved it!

First of all I state that I did everything (factory reset Versa, uninstall Fitibit App, turn off both Versa and Phone, turn off bluetooth) before doing what I am going to suggest you.

First time i got Versa i enabled the Passcode on the App... For 1-2 days it worked like a charm. On the third day Versa won't sync up anymore and I didn't know why. I spent one day to work it out. I've noticed that the Passcode interferes with incoming phone calls on Versa and with vibration with incoming notifications (strangely, the notifications were coming, but they were not reported either on the screen or with the vibration; I was forced to pull down the notification bar).

I've noticed also that the Passcode request appears several times even that I didn't take Versa off of my wrist.

Therefore, I've done a very simple thing; I disabled the Passcode on the App (go to your Versa settings on the App and scroll down to Device lock and disable it) and now Versa work like a charm again.

I hope it helped you. It will probably work only with those who enabled the Passcode Smiley Frustrated

It's no use as a watch if you can't sync back to UK time. I have just come back from abroad (8 hour time differentce) so it's completely useless to me.

For what it's worth, my versa wasn't syncing with the app, and I realized that the Fitbit app on my phone was actually conflicting with the Fitbit app on my computer. Once I uninstalled the latter, everything went back to normal.

I've got my versa set up now, after trying for 16+ hours. Now it does not want to sync with my ipad pro 9.7,and it is on the list of compatible devices. It synced fine once the versa was set up, but after about 10 min ot didn't want ro sync anymore. I've unpaired the versa and removed it from the app, and added it again, still does not want to sync. Please can someone help me. I'm beginning to dislike fitbit because of these issues.

I put mine on the charger yesterday AM and didn't wear it all day. Put it on for night (love the sleep tracking) and it hasn't synced since. It is tracking and giving me notifications. I restarted everything and toggled bluetooth/wifi with no luck. This thread is disheartening as it seems most people who got a defective one have had to return it....

Mine is working fine now, thank goodness. I asked on one of my Facebook groups and a ladies suggested to press the left button at the same time with the right bottom button until it comes up with the Fitbit logo. I did it 3 times and now it works great. So hopefully it works for you also.

Again: done this already ...

I tried everything and it still doesn't work. It is strange that it synced without problems during thé first weeks after I bought it, isn't it?

How is it possible that these devices are still in the shops when I read so many users are having problems with this syncing? Shouldn't this be solved first?
