My weather app is only working when I am synced and connected to the fitbit app on my phone. Does this app not work over wifi? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I’m having the same issue. I’ve set the weather app to C (Centigrade) on my iPad and to my location and it works fine. However, the temperature on my Versa shows permanently as -C. I’ve had my Versa for some time and this problem is a fairly recent one so I don’t think it’s the app but more likely to be the.Versa not functioning correctly after a recent update. Any ideas, anyone?

Hi
In the last couple of days my temp on versa was saying 22 deg C all the time. Looking on the forum someone suggested uninstalling and reinstalling the app on my phone which I did. However, the other suggestion which I also did was :- on my phone go into Fitbit app, click on profile, (for me I just clicked on my photo icon top left corner,) it now has Account at top of page/ scroll down to near the bottom, just before log out, click on advanced settings and turn on automatic location. I think the second suggestion actually fixed my issue.
I hope this helps:)

I've seen so many questions and threads on this issue and I have tried all of the suggested fixes for the weather app not working on my Versa Lite. Turned on, turned off, closed app, sync while closed, sync while open, reset network settings, turn off permissions, turn on permissions, location on, location off and more....I'm about to return this to the shop.

I'm having the same issue. The weather app on the fitbit itself works, but the "clock face" is supposed to include a weather blurb like "71' and clear" and it only ever says "refresh weather". I have looked everywhere I can think and it says the weather data is provided by OpenWeather and that it's refreshed every 60 minutes using the GPS location provided by fitbit API. But it doesn't actually work. I even tried to make sure I didn't just need to sign up for something with Open Weather, which I did and it does look like I can get a "key" from open weather, but there is no where I can find to provide that key to (or within) the fitbit app/settings. I would love to be able to get this to work if anyone knows how?

My weather app on my Versa was working just fine until recently. Now it will not sync and I have no weather on my Versa. I have rebooted my phone, my Versa, re-launched the Fitbit app, synced a hundred times, left my Fitbit app open all day long, set my Fitbit to all day sync. WTF! Also, the Bluetooth for the music is so weak I can’t use it. I connect my Versa to my wireless headphones and it is all choppy unless I hold my wrist right beside my ear. Headphones work flawlessly when connected to my phone. What was once a great product has slowly morphed into a $250 piece of garbage. I did not get what I paid for. Fitbit/Google needs to fix this ASAP or reimburse.

That doesn't even remotely answer the question. I had no problem with my Versa 3 weather staying synced on my Galaxy device. Now on my new iPhone, it NEVER displays up to date weather info without me having to sync the stupid thing to my phone. It didn't do this on Android, so why is it not playing properly with iPhone?!? I've checked all the settings, set it to run in the background all the time, ensured it has access to my phone's GPS, and even factory reset then reinstalled it as a new device - none of it makes a difference! I should be able to see up to date weather on this thing AT ALL TIMES, and I CAN'T! We shouldn't have to sync with our devices every single time we want to check the weather on our Fitbits!
