I set several goals every day: distance, steps, floors, calories burnt, and active minuites. However my Fitbit only celebrates when I reach my main goal which is my steps. It would be great if my fitbit also celebrated when I reach my other four goals too.
That would be awesome @Leesa124. This could be very motivational to all users and a great way to focus on every goal. I will gladly send your request to our team members so they can take it into consideration.
Any other ideas you might have, feel free to share or vote for them, if it’s already suggested in the Feature Request Forum. Thanks!
Currently I am only allowed to set a daily goal for Steps, Distance, Calories Burned, Floors Climbed in the Settings -> Device -> Surge (or whatever device) area. I would like to have the ability to choose other activies such as biking or running (separate from steps) Also I would like to have the ability to set weekly/monthly/yearly goals as well.
I don't think my idea is new, but I sure wish the developers could add an option to the FitBit flex.
I want to keep my goal at 10,000 steps because I've been watching myself reach that goal sooner and sooner inthe day. I used to work to get it before bed and now the bracelet vibrates in the afternoon. I'd like to be able to set a higher goal, but still have the bracelet alert me to the 10,000 steps mark.
I would like to have monthly goals or as least be able to see the monthly average. This used to be a feature when you looked at your steps/distance at the yearly level, It would show your average for the amount of days in that month so you knew to "step it up" to reach your monthly goal. I really miss this feature and would like to have this feature back and enhanced.
I 100% agree - I wish I could set it the vibrate every 10,000 (or 5,000 or whatever) so that after getting my first step goal there's more encouragement to keep going. This would be particularly helpful in motivating my mom because we set an attainable goal so that she's encouraged by hitting that but still pushed to reach higher goals
It would be very cool if there was a setting allowing you to get a second buzz when you hit a multiple of your step goal.
So if goal 10k steps it buzzes, 20k steps it buzzes again and so forth.
It should be optional though so really hard core users don't drain their batteries too quickly. But for more sedentary types like me that would be a real bonus alert to progress.
Hi there @WalkingForLife. Thanks for your contribution to the Feature Request board.
I've seen several users are interested in something like this and I personally think this is a great idea and would love to see it as a feature. I'm forwarding it to our team for consideration. Thanks for stopping by the Feature request board!
@mallorys I like this idea a lot. I think there should be this kind of alerts/buzzing every time you reach your goal and multiples of it. Also, the ability to set up multiple goals for different kinds of data (steps, floors, active minutes, etc.) and once reached; the tracker should buzz. I was reading some of the comments and having the ability to set up different goals for different days individually is also great! I hope to see this implemented in the nearest future. Please keep voting. Thanks to everyone who voted, created requests and commented on this.
I would really love having the option of goals set based on specific days of the week. I expect that I'll move more on the weekends and want those days set at a much higher goal than the weekdays. (Like I want 12k for weekdays as that is tough for me to hit - but on weekends I need a higher goal to keep things challenging like 15k or 20k per day)
It is quite nice to get that rewarding buzz when the daily threshold is reached.
But sometimes I'm on a much longer walk, and I'd like a bit more feedback. Can the firmware be upgraded to permit repeated vibrations when the threshold is doubled, tripled, etc.?
Especially when I'm trying to "catch up" after a few days of slacking off, it'd be especially pleasant to feel that second buzz indicating 20,000 steps.
I wish my Fitbit ~ Charge HR would vibrate each time I achieve a higher step achievements: ie; at 10,000, 15,000, 20,000, 25,000 & 30,000. Can this be added to a software update?
I understand that some people want to reach one main goal per day, whether it's steps, stairs or calories burned. The problem I see is that why are we only allowed one main goal? Why can't we make multiple main goals, so our Fitbits can vibrate more than once throughout the day as we reach those other goals?... Whether we do the amount of steps or stairs we set to do each day? This would be an awesome feature in an upcoming update. Thanks!
I would like to request that a feature be added to notify me via single vibration every time I get 1,000 steps in and each successive 1,000. It would help me stay on point with my walking goals. Thanks!
I walk every other day. I would like there to be a Minimum goal for each day. And a maximum goal for days I exercise. IE, I'd like to walk 4000 steps every day. On execise days, I'd like a second goal of 10,000 steps. Mutiple goals for steps, miles, calories would be great. I burn around 2700 on none exercise days, and 3400-3700 on exercise days. So multiple goals would be great!!!
I like this idea as an option. Personally I'd like to see each light - 20% of your goal, be accompanied with a vibrate. That would provide better awareness toward my primary goal.
We all love that buzzing feeling we get once we meet our goal, but what if the Fitbit could provide more feedback than that. What if the app/tracker could get an update that would allow the user to input several different step counts all of which, when reached, would activate the vibration-at-goal reached? For example, my daily goal is 10k steps, but it would be nice to get feedback at 5k to know I am halfway there without checking the tracker or the app. Then, once I am past the 10k mark, getting to 15k would also give me another device feedback moment. Fitbit, is this something you would consider. I am probably not the first to bring this up.
