Add a "Find my phone" app in the Fitbit App Gallery

We all misplace our phones from time to time. Since there is Bluetooth connection, it should be simple to reverse the notification and ring your phone. So long as the phone is within Bluetooth range, this should be a feature on the new Versa/Ionic.

Hi everybody! Thanks for sharing this suggestion. We’re excited to let you know that this Feature Suggestion has been developed by a third party developer, and can be downloaded from the Fitbit App Gallery available on Fitbit Smartwatches such as Fitbit Ionic or Fitbit Versa/Versa Lite. You’ll find the Fitbit App Gallery by selecting your connected Smartwatch in the mobile app, choosing the ‘Apps’ tile and toggling to ‘All Apps’ at the top of the screen. Please look after the Find My Phone app. You can then search third party apps by category and choose your favorite of the relevant options available. Happy exploring!

Please note that if you have feedback or a suggestion for the third party app, you can contact the developer directly (if they have shared their contact details publicly). Open their app in the Fitbit App Gallery and you’ll find their contact details under ‘app details’ or ‘clock face details’. Thanks.

Hi @aboutorange , thank you for your interest. At this time, the app is only available, for the Ionic and the Versa Family.

I’m excited to let you know after 5+ years of being a fitbit owner I’m switching to another wearable because this feature should be provided by fitbit not a third party who is charging for it! Byeeeeee.

This is quickly becoming a deal breaker for me. I may have to switch back
to my previous fitness smartwatch.

I agree also!  Why would a third party have to get involved?  I returned my Versa.  I previously had a Samsung gear fit 2 and I loved it but wanted to more stuff on it, like answering the phone, so I went with the Samsung galaxy rose color one.  I love it!  I don't like going Apple because it is so expensive and I feel they own you.  You have to go through Apple for everything.  My brother was able to to get a Samsung watch and connect it to his iPhone but you cannot do vice versa.

Please please please add this feature. I lose my phone all the time in my house and my garmin was awesome to find it... Thanks

I have a Fitbit Ionic. Have the 3rd party Find Phone app. But it takes very long for to find my IPhone 8. And it should also make a nouse when phone is on silent.

But hey, thankful that somebody at keast tried to make something out of it. I love my Ionic but if it ever breaks down I’m leaving Fitbit for the HORRIBLE customercare.
They shoukd be ashamed on themselves.

I have misplaced 2 Alta Device. The Fitbit device needs to be enabled or configured with a Geo-location API functionality which would allow user track their device when it's misplaced or even a scenario of lost family members wearing the device and they are lost.

You either implement this or my next smartwatch will be garmin. Incredible!

My next smartwatch will be a Garmin for sure.
Waiting for my Ionic to break down out of warranty. Such a shame because the Ionic has so much potential. But Fitbit just doesn’t understand that if we pay good money for their product and on top of that provide them with free data -which is the new oil- they should treat us with as much love as possible.
And now they have to do all the marketing themselves, when we could be their brand ambassadors. Major fail!

Truly love how the Ionic works, but a good product just isn’t enough nowadays.

Fitbit should either colab with Tile or add something similar to their software so that you can find your phone with the fitbit and you can find your fitbit with your phone even if the phone is on silent (obviously this feature would only work if the phone and fitbit were in range of each other.) misplaced my versa, had a really hard time finding it and thought...if only....

Hello, please install a find my phone feature. A prior Garmin I had before this had it and was very useful. Thank you!

An individual made a crappy app that doesn't work for everyone, make one by
Fitbit, that is integrated into the Fitbit, and actually works. And is
free. I don't understand why we have to pay for this feature when Garmin
has it already on their lower level devices

Hi moderator, if the find my phone is available, how do we access it? Agree
w others that should be a standard free feature made by you all not a third
party. (similar to how Garmin does it)

Exactly!  It seems Fitbit is not up to speed.

The way Fitbit has handled this is atrocious.  For a short time the "coming soon" features listed this thread for find my phone, along with More accurate battery life, and Favorite watch faces.  This means at some point Fitbit made a conscious effort to NOT do this development.

Fitbit as a company is either unwilling to address core feature deficiencies in their products, incompetent at prioritizing projects to address, or unable to execute due to employee ability.  The fact that this feature has not been released by Fitbit leads me to believe it is the first two, as they are located in San Francisco, where the talent pool would be well beyond the skill set needed to complete this given access to the company resources.

Fitbit's inability to implement even small features that the the rest of the smart watch industry has does not bode well for future success.
