Add body measurement feature

Can you please add a feature to track your body measurements: chest, waist, hips, thigh, and arm? I would like see my progress in inches +/-. When I'm not losing weight, I want to make sure the body inches are still going down. Thanks.

Body measurements is one of THE most important things to measure for whatever you would use the fitbit for; better shape, building muscle, losing weight. It's incomprehensible that it would ever be removed, and even more that they haven't brought it back considering the houndreds of comments from users wanting it back.

It will also give a more precise body fat percentage, I use the aria2 and it gives more than 5% difference from online calculators. The ones online also uses age, height and weight, but in addition body measurements. If the online ones are more precise than the aria 2 I truely regret the purchase..

It would be great along with weight tracking if there could be a place for measurements as well to track inches lost!! (ex. chest, legs, arms, waist, butt)

How can a weight loss app not have such a basic feature of being able to track body measurements. It is well known that weight alone is an unhealthy and inaccurate way to track your accomplishments. I do not understand why Fitbit would deprive us of such a necessary tool. Fitbit please bring it back

I love my Fitbit app, but I’d like to have an all in one rather than having 2 or more separate apps, i would find it benificial for the app to include an area where you can add body measurements and track how many total inches lost, because even if your scale isn’t moving you can still be losing inches.

A tile to track different body measurements such as neck, waist, hips, arms, legs, etc. similar to tracking weight or body fat.

I dont think I have taken off my fitbit except while showering, since I got it for christmas this year. I love everything about it and I do think I have a suggestion to improve the app. I have been very active at the gym monday through friday and although i have not seen the numbers on the scale change, I have seen a change in the amount of inches ive lost. If you could make a tracker tile for body measurements like you have for weight loss/ food intake /water intake that would be perfect! Maybe bring up a cartoon body and have 7-10 different spots to measure and you keep track as time goes on.

Like the other features on the app ie weight, calories, water I think there should be a feature for putting in your measurements ie arms, hips, waist, legs in inches

As a female who is lifting weights, my body weight is not a great way of tracking fat loss progress. Is there any possibility of an app to allow you to track body measurements as well as weight please.

I've been missing this feature since they took it away.  And there's another thread that was closed in February with hundreds of votes.  With all the emphasis on health, and more and more fitness experts recommending staying away from the scale, it seems tracking measurements would be a natural.

I was told at the time it was discontinued due to lack of usage, but the version that was out there then was clunky and frankly hard to use, so I'm not surprised the usage was low.  It was also tucked away on a separate tab and hard to find.  I'm sure if it were able to be out there front and center like the weight tracker, consumer usage would be higher.

Thanks.

Please add (or bring back) the ability to body measurements.  There are lots of times measurements will show progress when there isn't too much change on the scale.

I would live a tile to record body measurements.  I not onky track my weight, but i have to us a different app for body measurements.  Is not all about weight loss.

Adding my voice, again :). I currently track several circumference measurements elsewhere and have some custom code to plot it. If FitBit were to add it, I could retire that set up, which would be welcome!

The ability for users to track waist measurement is LONG overdue. Enlarged waist sizes are killing America. Is it more helpful to know your weight or waist size? Hmmm. My weight is less of an indicator of my fitness than my waist size. Waist measurement becomes more important with age. Cannot wait until it’s available!

Hello,

Can you please add a way to track and graph body measurements?  I currently do this in MyFitnessPal, but since I'm using the FitBit app to track everything else now, I'd like to eliminate that app and be able to have all the features I need in one place (on FitBit).

Thank you.

Hi @Bess406 thank you for your feedback. This is an existing feature suggestion, that is why I have moved your comment here. Currently this feature is not planned.

Please add body measurement logging/ tracking feature with pictorial representation. It is important for many reasons as below -

1.Fat loss is more important than weight loss. One of the key parameters to track fat loss is body measurements

2.Most of us start using devices like Fitbit to look good. So it is necessary to see that the body shape is improving or not.

3. I am doing weight training so I’m adding muscle mass. my weight is almost constant but my waistline is reducing. Since my Fitbit app has no such feature, I’ve to use other app for this.

Record % percentage of muscle, BMI, water, as well as waist, hips, legs measurements. It would be helpful for tracking and goal setting

Please consider adding ways other than weight to track progress. Some examples include cardio fitness and waist measurement. For example, I’m down nearly 2” around my waist since starting to exercise regularly but the scale hasn’t budged a bit. Thanks!

This app would be amazing if you could capture body measurements. Im actually astonished that this is not a feature. To have a fitness app that tracks fertility but not body measurements is strange and im unsure why you would even fertility stuff in a fitness app.

For every woman and probably men too they don't always focus on the weight but how they look and the inches they have lost.

Are there any plans to have this as a feature?
