Hi @33mitzi, thanks for explaining why you would like to have this option. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". You can learn more about here. Keep adding your suggestions!
Fitbit obviously do not have this as a "must have " on their backlog or they would have done it by now ...or it maybe it's not possible with the current firmware /apps and they don't want to invest . None the less..here is what I suggest you do (and I have ). I use the versa 2 as my daily driver as it looks that much nicer . I use the ionic as my gps running workhorse. Until Fitbit releases a GPS enabled versa, I just use 2 accounts; one attached to the Versa and one with the ionic. When you log out of one and log into the other , your previously setup settings will be there. MUCH easier than setting up the device each and every time .
When I discovered the problem a month or so ago I created a second account using one of my other email addresses and my Fitbit Ionic 2. Whenever I would switch devices I would manually add the results from my Ionic to the other account and indicate that those added numbers are from a third device that I don’t use anymore but is still active on my account. This provides me with a combined weekly result for one account and is a hassle but is the best work around until I sell all my devices and buy something else. By the way. Fitbit will provide you with directions on how to manually add results from one device to another if you ask them.
I purchased and Inspire HR and a Versa2 only to discover they cannot be on the same account. If that is the case the website should be changed (even though there is a disclaimer). currently, it is misleading. I don't know why both cannot be on the same account and hoping this will change in the near future.
I also purchased new devices, Versa2 and Charge-3. I cannot add these to my existing account. I where my ionic, with GPS, frequently I shouldn’t have to delete this to add another device. Vetsa2 does not have Built in GPS. Fitbit designers and integrators should re think this non customer friendly concept
Please change Fitbit App's so that more than one of the same type device can be linked to one Fitbit account. Having two different e-mail address accounts will not work, since this is part of a health incentive program at work that tracks the steps data. Plus, how hard can it be to have the Fitbit App allow two of one device? They have different serial numbers.
I had an Alta and Flex2 on my Fitbit account. Alta battery was dying, and apparently there is no way to refurbish this condition. I purchased a second Flex 2, since I am tired of having to deal with completely different charging stations. Wouldn't it be great to invest in one charging device type for home, car, work, vacations, and business trips? Contacted Fitbit online chat three different times. Each time, the person indicated that I should be able to sync two Flex 2 devices to my account and sent instructions. After all the time and work trying to deal with this situation, it was too late to return the second Flex 2.
Now that my work will allow other less expensive brands of fitness trackers (way less expensive), I will probably donate the Flex 2 devices in their nice looking boxes and purchase from a brand that allows multiple, same tracker type devices on their App.

The ability to have multiple devices on one account is a customer friendly option. The Ionic has a built in GPS, the Versa and Charge 3 do not. I would hate to think I purchased these new devices for no reason.
I am unclear how long an item is anticipated to stay in “Under Consideration”, as it appears this request was raised well over a year ago. I know in discussion with friends and colleagues who have ask about purchasing/replacing their fitness tracker there has been some ‘surprise’ and disappointment that FitBit are not able to manage multiple devices on same account.
Would be nice if FitBit could clarify when Developers will have ‘Considered’ and decided.
I have mentioned this in a previous comment but @LizzyFitbit why is Fitbit saying that the charge 3 is a smart watch and can't be added along with the versa when clearly it is listed on their website as a "tracker" and not a "smart watch"? Is there an explanation for this? I desperately would like to add my versa to my charge 3 and alta hr so that I can switch seamlessly between all three.
I own two Fitbit watches and would like to be able to pair more than one watch to the application. Currently it will only accept one watch at a time. This discourages purchasing more than one watch.
Hi @walker92607. Thanks for sharing this suggestion! The idea about being able to set more than one smartwatch in the same Fitbit account already exists, so I’ve moved your post here. I have used multiple Fitbit trackers on the same account for a number of years. When my faithful One finally died recently I looked for a replacement with a clip, and the only option was the Inspire. It did not even occur to me to check whether the Inspire could be added together with my Charge 3, as this is something that has always worked seamlessly in the past. Fitbit state that you can “easily” switch between devices, but removing one and adding the other twice a day quickly became very tedious. My Inspire now sits unused in the drawer, and I wish I’d never bought it.
I have two ionic trackers and I find it ridiculously annoying that fitbit will support multiple trackers on an account but, then won't allow two Ionics or Versa's. To me this is not good for sales for fitbit and it doesn't serve the community. It also opens the door for competitors to take over more of the market share by offering this kind of solution. To put this issue in perspective each device already has to be uniquely identified due to the Bluetooth and wifi connections. So there really is no good reason to not allow the support for two of the same smart devices. It comes down to the developers being willing to take the extra time to solve any potential overlaps. I know that I'm not the only person out there that has two of these high end trackers and can see reasons to use more than one. As an example my intended usage for two trackers to me makes perfect sense. I own my own businesses and work with clients in their businesses, home, gyms and online. When I go to a client site I want a nice band and clock face, which I have and it's great. I even get compliments on it but then when I go to the gym I don't want to have to strip down my watch and essentially rebuild it every time. I have a nice silicon band that is vented for exercise and a protective cover to protect my tracker because, lets face it at the gym the trackers can easily get scratched, hit, bumped or damaged so, it makes sense to protect it. I do not want to take all of that off and change it every singe time. Not to mention it's a pain to do. Besides given that I have already spent the money for these high end quality trackers fitbit should be bending over backwards to make customers like me happy, as I model the functionality of the trackers to clients and have been recommending these trackers. To not allow the support for multiple smart trackers of the same type is an extremely short sighted mistake on the part of fitbit and moving forward needs to be resolved. Also given the fact that more businesses these trackers now have third party support for bands and accessories it would make sense that fitbit would want to capitalize on that and support the use of multiple trackers on a single account to promote the idea of a tracker for every occasion but, never missing a step. Well fitbit so far this is the step that is being missed and moving forward this is a feature that that would only benefit everyone and help to secure the fitbit market share while making customers like me happy. Because right now your support staff are not supportive at all in this regard and I even had one who argued with me and was rude to me about this issue. By resolving this issue it would put fitbit in a unique position in the market to be not only health conscious but to be used for fashion as well with a simple change of the tracker that is being worn instead of rebuilding the tracker or removing one from the app then adding the new one repeatedly. This is a big issue moving forward as wearable tech is increasing daily. Let's make this happen ASAP.
Hi, totally supportive of the concept of having multiple devices on one account. I use an Ionic (mostly) for day to day stuff, and my Inspire for workouts and work, so being able to take one off and put the other on without have to manage the software swap as well would be really, really helpful.

I've always had 2 Fitbits - a watch and a waist tracker. For years, it was a Charge 2 and Fitbit one. I don't really like wearing a watch so I would only wear the Charge 2 during gym classes or running and the Fitbit one everywhere else. Both synced into the app to consolidate steps. I recently replaced the Charge 2 with the Versa 2. Now my Fitbit one stopped working so I bought the Inspire b/c you can wear it on the waist. I was devastated to discover that you can't have both of these devices linked to the app at the same time. I don't care about the smart features or ma
Hi @stellablue910, thanks for explaining why you would like to have this option. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". You can learn more about here. Keep adding these suggestions.
@LizzyFitbit This suggestion has been active since April 2018 and has been "Under Consideration" since July 2018. It is now Feb 2020. And Fitbit is still advertising this as a feature even though ALL the trackers & smart watches under Products on the Fitbit website CANNOT be added as multiples to a fitibit account. As I mentioned in another post (https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Allow-Ionic-Versa-Inspire-Inspire-HR-amp-Charge-...), while one FAQ article addresses that adding multiple trackers/smartwatches is not possible for all products, the help topic that gives instructions on adding a second device to an account DOES NOT address this.
I understand that it's your job to make it seem like Fitbit is actually working on this, but it's obvious that the company is not. To be "considering" this for 19 months while not updating documentation or advertising is unacceptable. I've started the process for returning the Inspire HR that I just bought and am looking at products from other companies (specifically Garmin). I'm very disappointed in Fitbit's handling of this.
