I think they will but when a behemoth buys a large company i wouldn't expect turns to be on dimes. It'll probably still take them 6 months to a year from the close of the deal.
It's sad that this is obviously something that needs to change but has been "Under Construction" since 2018. I've been a loyal Fitbit user since 2015, this is sad. I just paid $200+ on an item I have to return. Now, I know the capability exists. You can utilize multiple smartwatches at once on many different apps....but not Fitbit. More than 500 people liked this post, but still no answers. Only a company that's getting too big and believes it doesn't need loyal users would turn down $100,000+ worth of sales. I've been over the moon with Fitbit customer service until now. What a shame.
I am no longer interested as I have trashed my versa and will not get another one. Funny, it could not withstand the blow of a 5lb sledge hammer!
I do not expect Google to do anything with the Fitbit products regarding their apps. Typically companies that buy other companies are not interested in fixing old problems, just absorbing the new company into them and using their newly acquired core technology to build new products.
@LeslieNR05. Thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to setup the Ionic and Versa on the same account with us! I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". You can check this other suggestion here. Keep adding your suggestions!
Very disappointed that I cant switch between my charge 3 and versa 2 limited edition. Seriously considering returning it due to this. I intended to use my charge 3 when working outdoors and when I wanted something smaller but if I have to reconnect it each time, that's for the birds.
Thank you so much for the commentary provided in this thread. To better understand the needs, we would love to have you provide specifics within this survey. Additionally, if you have family or friends who have voiced similar concerns for having multiple devices, please do share this link with them as well.
We do apologize if you feel this effort is duplicative with what you have posted. We have scraped this thread to understand there is a strong customer desire for Fitbit to enable multiple devices for various reasons. The provided survey helps us to better consolidate and understand the scenarios for each of you individually deeper than what we're able to currently with the posted feedback.
When trying to fill out the Survey, I get this error message: [image: Google]Docs Resource unavailable. Please resolve this issue and resend the email request?
As others have noted, the survey link posted by ReaganFitbit doesn't work; we don't have permission to view the document because we are not part of the same organization.
I was able to do the survey also but do any of you really think Fitbit is going to act on it? I have been slamming them on social media for a month, thats that it will take, a larger audience.
This feels more and more like a big farce. Surveying a feature that even Pebble had in 2014! It's 2019 now. At least where I live. Fitbit feels like the 90s
I am also considering returning the versa 2 because I cannot switch with the ionic easily. This is different from your previous operating policy as best as I can tell and has not been publicized.
I recently purchased the Versa and have a Charge 3. I am also challenged by the app’s inability to hold both devices, and having to re-enter / setup the other, all over again, when wanting to change ! Would appreciate the resolution to this as soon as possible. Thanks
How many more votes does this need to get prioritized into a release update? I have a Versa and Charge 2 and they can both be connected to the same account. Then I got a Change 3 and am very disappointed that it won't work with the same account. Product managers... please prioritize this improvement!!!
Your feedback, both directly on the forum and in response to the survey, is greatly appreciated. Support for multiple devices has declined over time as complexities grew from our smartwatches and sync processes. Reintroducing this with newer devices requires work across new+existing devices, mobile apps, and our backend. The feedback here has helped us target the efforts to most common use cases we would need to design and test for.
Thank you again for the feedback and we look forward to improving the Fitbit experience!
I was a bit disappointed upon installing my Versa 2 that the app wanted me to switch from the Ionic. Why? Why can't it support both the Ionic and the Versa 2 like it did when I had the Ionic, Charge 2 and Flex 2 in the app? It would have been nice if I could switch back and forth between the Versa 2 and the Ionic.
