Bring back Spotify app to Versa 4 & Sense 2

Request to restore the ability to store offline music via Deezer, Spotify, or any other music media application on the Versa 4 and Sense 2. Just like it was able to do so on the Versa 3 and Sense (1). Otherwise you are going backwards with regards to the developmental process of your product, and severely limiting its usability.

I would also use this daily and a huge disappointment to lose the Spotify or music feature. Other smart watches have this and because of this downgrade I’m now going to have to look at other smart watch options after having a Fitbit for over 6 yrs

I'd also like to add that Pandora would be a welcome addition too.

100% agree, I cannot believe that music app support has been removed. Even the simple capability to just be able to skip and pause songs and adjust volume.

I had a Fitbit Versa around 4 years ago that supported this, and now I’ve paid over 2x as much for a Sense 2 only for it to completely lack 3rd party app support? Really disappointed and I hope in the very least Fitbit will add back 3rd party support for music apps considering how commonly used these are in fitness, otherwise I’ll be returning/selling and switching to another brand.

@Jciara98 Honestly it is easier to switch to another brand for music capability than staying with fitbit. Another choice is the Google Pixel watch.

That is great

Need this app and others back.  Disappointing that I spent the money I did on a Sense 2 and not have the same access as Versa 2.  Please bring back Spotify.

You could store music directly on the iconic. No phone needed for playing music, just earbuds. So obviously a great feature. Ok recall made, I upgrade to the latest watch sense 2 and it is a complete downgrade really! So so so disappointed ☹️. No third party apps either. What a joke Fitbit.

Why does it take so long for Fitbit to give any clarity? This should be a feature that should be there from day one!

I agree with asiayeah up there.  Late last year, I switched from Fitbit to Garmin exclusively after being with Fitbit since 2016.  I am not going to say that Garmin is better at tracking sleep, but I have to say that I thought I would miss Fitbit, but I haven't missed it a single bit.  I do feel for you people on this forum & this thread.  I do hope Fitbit/Google sees the light, but maybe it takes a mass exodus before they do anything.

The reason that triggered my purchase of the Versa was for the music features. Broke the display on the Versa and purchased a Sense 2 thinking I would be upgrading. Completely disappointed to find no music features whatsoever. Music and fitness go hand in hand for many people. I'm probably going to have to return the Sense 2. I don't want to purchase the "other" brand watch due to the abysmal battery life but I can always charge it but I can't get any kind of music ever on my fitbit.

@YojanaFitbit After 640 votes I guess the feature request can be considered quite popular to be shared internally. Any update?

I bought the Fitbit Versa 2 for the sole reason that it had Deezer offline. Isn't this false advertising to take it away?

Now I have to buy a different watch, which I don't want to as the Fitbit is working perfectly fine.

It doesn't make sense that they would take away such an essential function. This will be the last Fitbit product I buy, not trusting them again.

I have a versa 2  and want to be able to acess music and not lose this to my device

It seems ridiculous to end a relationship with a streaming service and not have another solution to replace it; I can no longer listen to music when I run, which is a significant factor in using the watch. It only takes a little to realise Fitbit will lose a lot of customers as a result of this move. I'll be looking for a new watch if I cannot use this one to play music.

From all the post and zero responses or comments from Fitibit we are all wasting are time and breath commenting.
New owners could care less
Time to move on.

Yes I agree I'm already upset their doing way with this as I just upgraded
to a versa Fitbit . They still are selling fit bits but taking away all
the options challenges and open groups as well as things offered with
premium

100% agree! Same issues with Versa 3. I specifically bought this fitbit, so I had the opportunity to run with music offline.
This is no longer on option. Living in South Africa and running with phone is just not recommended.
I bought a watch, based on the offering. This is no longer the case and it feels like being ripped off.
Been in contact with Fitbits customer service, unfortunately the service has been very disturbing and rude.

Hope this will be sorted soon, as my watch is perfectly working. But definitely not bying or recommending fitbit again.

Supporting this too! Had a versa 2 which broke, so had to upgrade.. and it was the dumbest, most painful downgrade I've ever made! My versa 4 is useless without music control!

It’s quite a few months on from the original post requesting that music functionality (Spotify and others) be added back on to the Sense 2 and Versa 4, seems no change and sadly didn’t complete my research first before “upgrading” from a versa 3 to the Sense 2. Have now added a vote to have music app added back to Sense 2 and Versa 4. Is there an update on when, as customers/users we can expect to have access to Spotify on the Sense 2?

I've just purchased the 4 thinking I'd be able to use in the gym hands free really for music etc, only to set it up and find out we can't do it anymore? What's the point in offering gps for running not needing phone but can't listen to music hands free but need the phone to change music. Baffled that old fitbits have the option to skip songs etc.

This feature is 100% needed, it's not a smart watch without the abilty to use 3rd party apps - it has more than enough feedback and also has another post with 1,650 likes at https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Product-Feedback/3rd-Party-Apps-on-Sense-2-and-Versa-4/idi-p/5248677

This should be more than enough customer feedback to consider reintroducing the feature

I recently bought a Vera 4. I really like the design and I wanted to have a watch working with Google Pay. After buying and installing I hat to learn, that Payment using Wallet is broken. Not even Apps like Spotify are available. Disappointing. Support just tries to calm down. Fitbit doesn't react. All in all a really disappointing experience.
