Bring back the old sleep summary page

When I had my Charge 5 and the first few weeks of having my Charge 6 the app would give me a sleep summary page with, Sleep Stages, Time in each stage, Oxygen levels and Bedtime and wakeup all on a handy page. Since a recent update I now seem to get a much more basic three tiles and I have to open each one and look through for all the information.

Sleep update is HORRIBLE. But nothing will change because they don’t do anything with the feedback in this forum. Awful customer service

The new app format is awful...hard to look at and with less info. My trial of Premium is over soon and, although I was planning on renewing, I'm not. I'm also looking around for a new product with a better user interface. Dear futbit- It wasn't broken. Undo the "fix"

My criticism isn't as stark as some, but I will say that several data points are gone and more disappear every UI update. In particular, the previous graph allowed for filtering to a specific type of sleep stage, so that each segment of the graph was able to be hovered over. The combined graph does not provide access to the Awake moments when they are overlapping a more dominant period for another stage.

Likewise, here the start/end times of a segment are interesting, but the duration is significant. The new presentation no longer has durations. An easy improvement to make.

Thirdly, as this new look, especially on graphs and their hoverovers, continues to be rolled out, useful details are dropped that would be easy to bring back and make consistent across teams of developers. For example, each graph, hoverover, chart, table should show the start/end time, duration, date (at least "Mmm DD"), day of week (even if "yesterday/today" are also displayed) among other specific measurements for each value. I want to clearly see when, how long, how much ... everywhere I click or scroll, and I want to have a consistent presentation. Just because data is over a week old doesn't mean I shouldn't know it was on a Wednesday (Sleep table used to label only day of week for this week and MmmDD for previous weeks... so annoying). What if I'm looking for trends and every Wednesday something common occurs? I want to evaluate what I'm doing on Tuesday or Wednesday to fix any negative trend.

Too many arbitrary "simplifications" resulting in a less useful data presentation, which for advocates of data driven approaches to health, is the wrong way to go. That's why wearable devices exist. That's what Premium members are paying for.

P.S. I have previously posted that the Sleep Profile at the top of the daily sleep table was obnoxious. My suggestion received many votes. So, I am pleased to see that it is now a sub-tile of its own (mostly). Good to see user feedback adopted in that case. Let's see how these new suggestions fare. Thanks.

I'm paying for a PREMIUM membership so I can see all of the data available that my device tracks, yet with every update, Google is taking away data I used to be able to see.  After this latest update, I can no longer see the percentage of time that my sleep was in the restorative state.  This is the most important sleep health data that exists and Google has hidden it from me.  If you want users to pay for premium memberships, stop taking away the data we used to be able to see!

I agree with all of those that have previously commented as to the poor sleep up date. What was Fitbit thinking?? I don’t mind change when it’s actually a good change but this certainly not an improvement. The graphics are hard to read with thin lines and the time scale is not broken down in small enough increments. Please return to the previous version. I  have been with Fitbit for several years but now Apple is looking pretty good.

The sleep tracker was great…until they changed it. I hate the new one. Not user-friendly, not readable, and definitely not an improvement! Like many users, I’m now considering a different product with a different vendor. Would not recommend Fitbit to any of my friends or family.

There's an old saying - if it ain't broke, don't fix it. That definitely applies to the updated sleep timeline. I agree with other comments that it is such an important feature that I'll replace it with another brand.

I am truly horrified at this sleep tracking "update."

I had a 35 year career in IT progressing from programming for medical diagnostic and nuclear power industries, to management of large IT development teams, to management consulting evaluating functionality and design for Fortune 500 companies. So I do know my way around UX. This is truly utter **ahem** and an egregious example of backward design and loss of functionality.

Yes, I read the announcement to try to understand any justification or improvement, and I'm at a total loss at seeing 2 minimal improvement points that don't begin to offset the enormous loss of clarity, ease of use or quick access to information of the former.

How could this have possibly been directed or approved by anyone with a brain? Google, retract this and implement a version rollback! How can the users declare this more forcefully?!! Don't you see it?!

The new sleep update is awful. I got far more useful and insightful data from the previous version. Please bring back the ability to tap on the graph for expanded insights AND the ability to have historical data below that you can scroll through. This update is a huge step back. For the 1st time in 11yrs I’m considering another brand 😞

Absolutely.  New Sleep Graph is a total Fail. "Improvement"??? You've got to be kidding. What genius thought that was an improvement?

So a billion dollar company gets a 5 year old to make a new sleep graph?? This was my main reason for Fitbit and now I can barely read it and has little info. Why change it? So people have to pay for premium to get what they always had?

I have gotten a lot of value from the Fitbit sleep graph until it changed a few days ago. This update is an utter failure. The old graphics need to come back as witnessed by the hundreds of critical responses on this feed. I pay for premium but I will cancel if this update remains. It’s so freaking obtuse!

Please bring back the old sleep app. The colors are too similar & hard to differentiate between deep & rem. I liked being able to see sleep stages at a glance but now to hard to do that! There was absolutely nothing wrong with the old sleep graph so I don’t understand why you felt the need to “upgrade”. There are hundreds of us who consider this  a DOWNGRADE! Please change it back!

I think you have captured the essence of what is wrong with the new sleep graphs.

I’m with the majority!!! Hate the new sleep graph on the App!! Please bring the old version back!! The comment a I’m answering doesn’t let me VOTE!!!  How many times do I need to express my view and how many times do the hundreds of other disappointed customers need to express their discontent and frustration???
God almighty!! It’s easier to rob a bank!!!

After reading many of the negative posts and comments about the new sleep graph (honestly there is not one positive comment!), it appears that Fitbit is not listening to the feedback. We are still stuck with this difficult to comprehend, non-visual, unfriendly sleep graph. Time to give negative reviews about Fitbit on the App Store I think!
