Customizable Challenges (like start date, duration etc)

I would like to be able to set which days I want for a challenge. Not all of my friends work a workweek (Mon-Fri). I would like to be able to make a challenge thats like Thurs-Sun or Mon-Wed-Fri. Or whatever days my friends work during that week. Choose teams and partners.

My friends and I just did a 2-month challenge. It would be great to be able to set your own challenge length in the app!

Hi, I am generally happy with the surge but missing important feature.

I am wondering why the dashboard does not provide detailled run analyses (such as a breakdow of pace and time per Mile/kilometer, runs per months averages, comparison of last runs etc.). Many trackers provide these simple features. Tecnically the required data are tracked for all important statistics and should be implemented for lap  and treadmill runs as well.

I believe a lot of people are using these features for training and like me have to use separate devices/app s(runtastic, Nike+ etc).

br,

Bab.

It would be great to have custom challenges.. I'm currently doing 3 virtual running challenges and to be able to keep track of them on my fitbit dashboard would be so great. Instead I have to make a note in a book along with a running total to ensure I'm on track... I've then got to go thru my runs on the fitbit and then email each one as proof.... Could be so much easier

Let users decide the challenge and duration! I'd love to challenge my boyfriend to a water drinking competition...

not sure what you have in mind to how this challenge will work but tbh it does bother me a bit....drinking too much water can be dangerous, so with this in mind it would need to be capped on how much someone could drink, and also ensure that ppl do not drink too much at anyone time., even if it is a goal of the first person to meet their water goal someone could be silly enough to try drinking say 3l in a very short space of time.

I like my new Fitbit Surge, but I'm hugely disappointed that I cannot compare run data, I would have expected to see it in the mobile dashboard, and at the very least through the website on my own account. I therefore fully support the request to store run data, otherwise I shall be forced to revert to the Garmin Forerunner. Please implement this as soon as possible. You are collecting the data so why force people to have to export it themselves to analyse through other applications.

I bought my Fitbit based on the recomendations of several people in my weight watchers group.  We would like very much to encourage and challenge each other, but are coming from extremely diverse starting points.  Competing with total step count seems to always be skewed towards a small handful of people who are further along on their fitness journey.  We would like to see more custom challenges based on % of goal to bring everyone back to equal ability to work hard to win.

Many of my friends have Fitbit surge. We would love to have a challenge that uses the heart rate in our challenges. A HIIT goal challenge would be fabulous. Or even just a simple time in peak heart rate if the other is too difficult. Since we have the heart rate option it seems only obvious that you would have challenges that take advantage of that. Thank you so very much for helping change this.

I like the Challenge feature. I'd love to be able to challenge my friends in water drinking, sleep, and weight. The feature to calculate these things are already there, so why not make it a challenge?

In rare cases, drinking an extreme amount in a short time can be dangerous. It can cause the level of salt, or sodium, in your blood to drop too low. That's a condition called hyponatremia. It's very serious, and can be fatal. You may hear it called waterintoxication. Thank you David frith

I'd love to see challenges in the App for other items besides just step count.  For example, flights of stairs, active minutes, etc.  I'd also like to see 7-day and monthly challenges too.  Thanks for your consideration!

I can't agree more.  I find the challenges the most motivating portion of the fitbit, but also the most lacking.  We need to see a 7 day challenge and month long challenges added, at the very least.  An option to "create your own" challenge would fit all needs, with the ability to put in the parameters such as length or steps requirements.  Also, there should be an option to join challenges with non-friend fitbit users.  That way you can join challenges that fit your needs regardless of your friends.  Get creative, the four listed are a good start but limited. I hope to see these changes / adds in the next app update.

I would love to see better peak tracking so that you can have some indication of increasing VO2max. Maybe this could be a great competition to have between friends? Who gets the most peak minutes in a work out rather than steps. This would be great for those of us who are biking. It also incentivizes intensity over just movement.

I really hope that this is acted upon sooner rather than later.  In the past year a large number of my family has acquired fit bits and our weekly challenges are full all the time.  We end up making another challenge to get all of us involved.

Come on Fitbit developers...listen to your public.

In reply to the comment on a stair challenge... I don't think this is a good idea my surge gives me credits for stairs when I'm in my bungalow... I also get them in the car as I live in an area with lots of hills.

I don't know if this had already been mentioned, but I wood like a calories burned challenge in addition to step challenge. Is fair to say not everyone walks or runs daily. Just a suggestion.

I agree - it seems silly that all that info is recorded and you can't create a challenge off of the data that is already there, especially considering the increased popularity in non-step related activities (cycling, plyometrics, etc).  This should be a relatively easy addition and would be wildly popular in just the fitbit group I have connected with, so I'm sure it would be widely accepted.
