Evening Snack Food log designation

As of today "Anytime" was removed as a food log time designation. It appears I wasn't alone using it to record my evening snack items. Its removal means that my food log for dinner is now inaccurate. 5 time desginations aren't enough for a diabetic (3 meals, 3 snacks) and for most people watching their nutrition, evening snacking is a dangerous habit.

Hello, I'm not sure if someone has said this...there were 68 posts to go through, and after about 20, I thought I'd just chime in myself, just in case.

As much as an evening snack would be great, I still prefer the anytime option for one reason: On the days I am at work, I drink my coffee from about 8am until I leave work, which is 6pm. As this is a VERY long time to be completing my coffee (and refilling it if I do) it does not fit into any of the breakfast, lunch or dinner slots, nor is it a snack. (To clarify, I include it because I use cream and splenda. The cream, specifically, does add to my calorie and other nutritional totals.)

Adding options for today's "Eat something small every few hours" and "constantly on the go so may only be able to eat some crackers for lunch" people may be a better option than to take things away. It can be very frustrating, especially for someone who is a mild perfectionist, to try and figure out where something goes when it does not even remotely logically fit into the given catagories. That being said, something like an Anytime catagory fits that perfectly. (This also worked for eating dinner, going out and dancing (essetially burning way  more calories and end up needing to eat more) and then eating something else (hours after dinner...or hours before breakfast...)

Thank you for reading this, and I hope something does come back for those of us who do things a little less structuredly as 1, 2, 3, 4.

Please, please add "Evening Snack" to the food category list or bring back the "Anytime" category! Better yet - add both of these categroies.

Please bring back anytime or evening snack option!!  I amn pre-diabetic and trying to lose weight, eating 3 meals and 3 snacks is my daily routine so I need 6 places to be able to record my dietary intake accurately.  I can see many other people use the fitbit log for the same reasons.  And like other posters said, even if you're not doing it for diabetic/dieting reasons, anytime/evening snack should be there for just that, evening snack (which so many of us do) or dessert.  Please, please bring it back!

I too vote for bringing back anytime as a category... or at least adding the evening snack.

I'm here to agree.  Bring back Anytime (my preference) or introduce Evening Snack ASAP.

I totally agree. An evening snack option would be great, instead of completely moving the anytime option, which is pretty annoying!!!

Please bring back the additional option whether it's "anytime" or "evening"!

Evening snack or anytime are both needed.   Snacks and small meals are better than three meals a day.   I work 12 hour night shifts and even remotely eatting I have to just throw my food in dinner.  Breakfast is 1-2 pm most days.. but having an anytime helps for my 2am bite of something for some protein and energy to work another 5 hours!

Yes - please either add back "Anytime" or "Evening Snack" or preferably both options for food logging.

Please bring it back! I hate adding my evening snacks to my dinner log because I like to keep my meals separated since I use the log as a food diary. Renaming "anytime" to "evening snack" would be even better. But I'd be happy with either!

Meal option "Anytime", or "Evening Snack" would be workable for me, but I need the sixth meal option to log the snacks I take, when taking my evening medicine. I look forward to your solution to a problem that wasn't a problem last week. Thanks.

Please bring back the "Anytime" feature for food logging.

Please bring back "Anytime".

Can be a nice option to be able to rename food log designation.

Especially in French because here in Canada we don't use the same designation as in France.

Please restore "anytime"

I'm following a health program where I eat 4 times a day.
I was using the "Anytime" for my fourth meal of the day.

Now because of the removal, all my meals from the past are wrong!!!
Becuase by default everything that I had in "anytime" was defaulted to Breakfast.

Really a bad decision from FitBit to remove the "anytime"

Please restore asap...

Hi,

for me, this change is not an improvement! The 'Anytime' food intake option is really useful as it allows differentiation between normal mealtimes and those other periods when one grazes. I hope you can reinstate it as I don't work to such narrowly defined eating patterns because of work commitments.

Evening snack or anytime.  I don't care just put it back!  For tracking I am messing with my stats now.  Dinner is either too large or afternoon snack too large.  Both are inaccurate.  PLEASE re-add or call it evening snack.

Option appeared today! I'm so glad it's back online. Thank you FitBit for the quick resolution!

The "Anytime" option has been added back to the Food Logging page. Sorry for the inconvenience!

While this was implemented briefly, it was lost again yesterday at some point.   We do want it back, and while I still have it on my phone, I don't have it on my dashboard, where I do almost all of my meal planning.  It's too tough trying to do this from my phone.

It seems logical to me that the Anytime option be reinstated as the more-accurate term Evening Snack. I only ever used it for "evening snack". I don't eat in the middle of the night!

I thought this was a bug in the web app until the 2.3 update to the iOS app. This was obviously an intentionally removed feature, though I can't imagine why.

I don't care what you call it, "Anytime" or "Evening Snack" but we need somthing to log food consumed after dinner.  I do like the other changes though, especially the barcode scanner and the workout log. Thank you.

I would like to bring back "Anytime", as well! I used this for a lot of random things.
