I am not an expert, but Jawbone is the only tracker that I know that offers both of those features. But you need to use your phone to see your activity. Plus O personally had blue tooth or connectivity issues which is why I had to move on.
Wow can not believe that an inactivity alarm function isn't available on our new charge HRs 😞 Please please add this feature! My husband wanted to return his when he found out it wasn't available!
Hi fitbit team! I'd love to see a feature such as an "inactivity alarm". An alarm that will remind you to get up and be active! Say you've been idle for 45 mintues or whatever time you've set, the alarm would buzz as a reminder. Thanks for your time!
I doubt this is new, but for those of us who live at our desks, an inactivity alarm would be so great! I've a manual alarm to remind me to move during the day (and a standing desk...), but it lacks any relevance or surprise. I tend to ignore it because its everyday, the same time, blah blah blah.
The fitbit with an inactivity nudge would beat the competition hands down (and be waterproof!).
Yeah...is there an update in the works? Doean't seem like it would be too hard to program something that says if you haven't taken 50 steps in an hour, then vibrate 3 times.
I just switched from the Jawbone UP to the Fitbit Charge. I really, REALLY miss when the UP would 'talk to me' (usually saying "Walk, you lazy sot!") I love the call notifications, love that I can just look at my tracker and see what I've done for the day, instead of having to plug-in my UP to get that info. But I really could use the reminders, and don't want to have to wear two trackers to get it.

Just tweeted The ceo About it and got this Notting saying answer: "Hi! Our developers are investigating on how we might move forward with the idea. We hope for your patience and understanding."
Good going, but this has been ongoing for longer than I can remember. Plus, I am not so sure he even personally responded. What is frustrating is several other company's offer that feature and it is the #1 idea wanted by Fitbit owners James S. Feldesman, J.D., CLTC
I was thinking about buying my wife a fitbit for Christmas, but will be opting for an other brand because of fitbits frustrating non-responces to this issue!
Part of me does not blame you, but I believe that they will be adding that feature in 2016. Most likely when they release their new tracer. Not every company has every feature. Trust me, I was really hard pressed to move from my original UP2. There are a lot of pluses to stay. James S. Feldesman, J.D., CLTC
