this has been requested for the past 5 years - is there any chance that it will actually happen or will fitbit partner with someone who can and is willing to provide this - there have been changes implemented with less votes that this so a real decision is well over due - I believe there are mentions within the posts reference this subject that point Fitbit in the right direction but it seems that this have been overlooked - it would help if fitbit actually listened to the real people and what they want and not rely on what the company wants to believe what people want and then get shed loads of emails in complaint because it has not been correctly implemented
In my opinion they should add more trails in every country ,like option to submit from your country trail in national parks so there would be challenges like this all over the world or even more like little detail that you can add to your fitbit device if you finish a particular trail like i have fitbit charge 3 and for example you could gain some kind of little detail in the face of the clock or something like that or you could buy a special kind of band with a sign that represent that trail that you finished in smaller price just to encourage people to do those challenges it would be great for the community a nice little reward and for the fitbit a good way to sell more products it would be a win win situation .
But the most important is the new adventure and you could discover so many places !
What a great community this seems to be! 🙂 I love a challenge but unfortunately I do not live close to Yosemite or the like - thus those challenges are not applicable to me. I live in southern of Sweden and would love more individually based challenges where I can challenge myself or maybe one more person - not necessarily 2 persons or above. I hope that you'll have more individual challenges as I'd like to earn my badges, know how many step I've got left to do so and so forth.
@Caroline_E Hi and Welcome, Yes more challenges would be great and I hope you have given your vote at the top of the page, the beauty of these challenges are that you do not have to live anywhere near where they are (im in the UK) its a good way of getting people to know about areas of beauty especially if they have not had the fortune to be able to travel, wouldn't it be great to have a virtual walk around a safari park or a tour of the outback in Australia just as an incentive to get out and about so a walk to your shops once logged can start a trip around the Tokyo Marathon route, or the fjords or even the amazon jungle and along with the pictures and little comments and tips on health would go along way to people being more active even if its only an additional 10 mins a day - every little helps, so by all means click on Yosemite trails and take a walk around and once started you can zoom quite close to the ground for birds eye views of rivers, waterfalls etc in addition to the pictures they post.
Not sure if they are working for you but there is also a goal day challenge for yourself and upto 10 persons and a few that's for 2-10 persons and you should get trophies for them as well, Apologies if you already know or tried these but always worth a mention
@ashwolve Thank you for your swift answer - I am amazed how quickly our community responds! I did not know that I am able to choose the Yosemite challenges and be able to walk the distance in my own country. Lovely news. I will be trying out one of the challenges tomorrow and see how it works out. Unfortunately - it seems like I cannot start the challenge the very same day I'd like to do it though....
@Caroline_E Your quite welcome and glad I could shed some light on it for you, yes it would be nice to start same day or have the choice to start now or tomorrow (after midnight) such a simple addition but could be beneficial - remember to add challenge today to start tomorrow - the community members are always happy to respond to subjects within there abilities but as we do not work for Fitbit there will be some things we cannot solve/assist with but will always try and suggest an alternative should one be needed,
Happy Stepping and hope you enjoy taking a walk around the challenges
I've been an active fitbit user for over 2 years now I'd like to request new challenges and adventure types. The current ones are unchanged over the last two years.
I see lots of replies saying ..."nice ideas". What we`d really like is the actual challenges to be updated / increased. However after asking for two years we are all resigned to the fact that it will never happen and writing here is a waste of time.
Agreed Springburnlass! Fotbit doesn’t care about our opinions. They say that if enough people chime in about it, they will move on it. How many is enough people over a two year period? There are 375 comments on this thread alone and I found at least 8 other threads with similar requests and amount of comments!!! Fitbit is extremely disorganized and doesn’t care about their customers. Not sure why they even have these feeds here. It’s time to move to Apple.
I liked the New York Challenges. Then one day they were gone. I honestly think, wholeheartedly believe, that if you are going to keep your customers happy -- GET SOME MORE TRAILS! I don't care where. But if I have to do the Pohono Trail one more dang time, I'm ripping this FitBit off my arm. This is bologna. Total and utter bologna!!!
More Challenges and adventures have been suggested for almost 5 years! Everyone wanting this to be addressed needs to log in and give a thumbs up on this issue. I agree that Fitbit has not acted or responded to this request, in fact they took out the New York Challenges :(. I am so disappointed in Fitbit that I will be leaving them because of this very issue!
I know I’m not alone when I see the same adventure races and challenges!
There used to be annual Goal Days in the past and I haven’t noticed one emailed about in a while. Even just monthly challenges or something would be encouraging to participate in and get you moving!
The Yosemite adventures you can only do so many times before they get hold. I noticed NYC is gone, maybe the Boston Marathon or Tour De France, etc big time things or even hiking trails like the big one in Spain (I think it’s over 500 miles) could be a neat one! Just spit balling but I know that there are several ways to spice things up.
This request has been open for 5 years and there haven't been new challenges added yet. This seems like it would be an easy thing to implement more of, and should be high on the priority list for the development team and an easy win!
Hi @djunker! That’s an interesting idea and could be useful, thanks for sharing it. I've moved it into a similar suggestion, as the more votes and comments an idea has the more visibility and momentum it gains. You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released in our FAQs.
I’ve had a Fitbit one when they first came out in the UK and now have an ionic. The Fitbit challenges have not changed since. Yes they brought out the trails. But let’s be honest no one uses them. Most people just do the work week hussle. We need a change. If fitbit doesn’t come out with a different set of challenges this year I think I will move on to a different device.
Community challenges could be an example of something new. People as a group collectively have to collect a set amount of steps over a week?
Team based challenges? So say 2-3 teams enter a work week hustle?
theres so many different challenges Fitbit could introduce yet they have chosen not to in the last few years. Fitbit needs to realise they don’t have many users. Even less of them will come on their forums to ask for features. Instead people will abandon their devices and move on.
