Today is 05-July-2015, several months have gone by. Please update us on the status of reimplementing the previously available Fitbit IFTTT channel for third-party blood pressure (and heart rate) devices?
Where in the queue does it fall? Since the requested IFTTT channels previously existed, prior to Fitbit killing them off, it would seem to be a low-hanging fruit implementation win for the software team.
I too would like to see a blood pressure / heart rate log where you can manually input your readings. I have to keep a record for medical reasons which I have to take with me when I go for my regular check up.
I have been able to replace all most of my apps that I use to track health with the Fitbit app, except I still have to have a separate app to track my blood pressure. It would be great if I could track this with the Fitbit app as well. Its nice that you can enter it at the website, but the chances of me having a computer available to log into when I take my blood pressure are nil to none, but I always have the phone handy with the Fitbit app running. thanks
While we are waiting for access to log and view blood pressure data from the mobile apps, please change your graphic display engine for the graphs away from Flash. Flash is not available on the IOS platform, so even if we do access the web for data entry we can not view the graphs.
Having Blood Pressure data in the mobile app is very important to us who would like to use the FitBit App as our single go-to place for health data.
Another option would be to interface with iBP Blood Pressure App from Leading Edge Apps. Of course you would still need to provide a UI to access and display the BP data.
Thanks for the feature request @LFRAN119. I can see the potential benefit of a journal and BP tab for a lot of users, especially if they have high blood pressure or need notes about their workout or food that they ate.
My heart stopped April 29th, 2015, but after great doctors and prayers I survived that and being in a coma and other organs not functioning, but today I have improved 100%. My daughter and son-in-law got me a Fitbit Charge for Father's Day and I love it, but it could do so much more, even if you have to log manually. For me now, Sodium Goals are HUGE as well as daily monitoring and recording of my BP, Heart Rate, Sat O2, Respirations, Swelling, and of course weight. All of these I have to manually check multiple times daily and had to create a spreadsheet to capture it all because your application software is more about fitness than health concerns to a point. I love the Food, Weight, Walking, HR and so on, but if you can't build the interface to create these optional logging features, at least create the activity logs you have now with more options to create the data capture info I have previously mentioned. Again, I am very happy with my Fitbit and the Dashboard and it indirectly helps me with my dietary concerns. Also, if you could add things like CareZone has for Rx, Contacts, Etc would be nice. One last idea would be to add a panic button for patients like me who once everyone returns to work and the nurses stop coming to the house or I'm walking at night alone, that I could press and it would automatically notify 911 and location and a contact of my choice(s). This would be the best product ever for those who aren't just health nuts, but nuts who have health issues and want to live more healthy, productive lives. Thanks. Terry
I've just tweeted Fitbit about this and they asked me to add my idea to inform them here. Thankfully I've just found this same idea. I'm going to tweet Fitbit this link and hopefully someone will see and act on it. Doesn't make sense that this feature is available online but not on the app.
I'd like to set high BP and high Triglyceride related goals such as a maximum Sodium consumption of 1500 mg per day. I already enter what I eat, I'd like to see a report graph to see at a glance how I'm doing on this aspect. Also I want to make sure to have minimum Potassium levels.
For Triglicerides I'd like to see goals and reports for Triglicerides, Sugars and Carbs etc.
I agree I would like to see a blood pressure and heart rate tracker on the dashboard. I would also like to see fitbit come out with a wireless blood pressure tracker, like the Aria for weight, so I don't have to log it daily. It would just take out an extra step.
@bsgillis Yes, thanks I found this on another thread somewhere, I've been using it. The graph is helpful, though it seems to "insert" extrapolated datapoints. It seems kind of wierd that way. I should also have a BP log, like the Activity Log.
I hope they can come ujp with a way to track Sodium, and provide a graph on how I'm doing on my sodium goals.
Apart from BP, I'd like to be able to track trigliceride progress, (sugars, starches, triglicerides, trans fats) in a tile with goals there as well.
Yes they need to bring the ability to see a blood pressure log on the dashboard. You can still log it at https://www.fitbit.com/bp but its going away too. Maybe time to find a new device or app since they do not want to listen to their customers.
I have given up asking for this..... If you download "Healthwatch 360" app, they have both Glucose and Blood Pressure tracking.... I am conviced that no one reads these posts from FitBit....
Thanks. I tend to agree. They had it in the app then they took it out. Maybe they only want the ?healthy? people to use Fitbit, not those also trying to be healthy.
The blood pressure and heart rate feature available in the log segment were great features. I monitor these functions daily and provide to my cardiologist. I have so enjoyed using this feature, it is difficult to believe they would be removed from the program. This is disapointing to me and to others I have suggested use fitbit because it did include this feature. I am requesting reconsidering the removal from the log. They are very useful tools that I use every day. Having to goto another link to access them is not a remedy, because of the time wasted in the process.
Please put these features back. Taking them away is not an enhancement to the product, but a deterrent.
