Third-party App push notifications on Fitbit screen for All

I and many others have liked, posted, complained and begged Fitbit to allow/enable notifications.  This is a request to Fitbit to enable, at the choosing of the user of the Fitbit tracker (Charge, Charge HR, Alta, Charge 2, & Surge) to have what ever app notifications they want for both iPhone and Android devices display on the Fitbit tracker screen.  This idea suggestion eliminates the need for individual idea suggestions for types of phones or apps that people want to get notifications for, we want the choice to select which ones (like third-party apps such as BitTicker have done for us in the past).  I own a Charge HR, but I want this for all Fitbit trackers, not just mine.  Please give this a thumbs up and post comments on your agreement with this. (And yes, we all know you want Whatsapp part of these choices, don't complain about those of us that still use SMS).  It's about CHOICE of apps, not just Whatsapp.

A recent 10-08-2016 moderator (AndrewFitbit) post on the 'More Notifications' suggestion is what inspired me to do this as it suggests we divide up and make suggestions on each app feature and each device and each tracker.  That is counterproductive.  We need to unite!

I just want my flex 2 to vibrate when i get a whatsapp message. Ideally i'd be able to select only some contacts... if you can'd do it, I'm happy to use IFTTT, but you're not letting customers do that yet.

Hi. One good thing for me I use to have on Garmin and I like to have now in my Charge 2 is the email notification. I see that Charge 2 receice notification from calendar Google. So why not to make possible( as an option) to set up for the email ?I beleive with is is heart rate alarm that I also wirte about this in another post, this Charge 2 could be the best in the market. Thanks

SMS almost no one uses. We need notification for whatsapp on ios. Charge 2

Really really require the WA notification & Emails for Charge HR 2, i use the iPhone6 & totally sticking with Apple. I think its a need for everyone who owns such a watch, ain't it?

With the apps that are claimed to be compatible with fitbits, it would be nice to receive notifications on my fitbit. If they're compatible, the point would be able to use it with the actual fitbit, not just the fitbit app. 

Example: I love using the Waterlogged app, especially while pregnant. It's a compatible app with fitbit and it syncs with my fitbit app with no issue. But one of the things I love is the interval reminder notifications it sends for water consumption throughout the day. Being someone who sits at a desk and is distracted by work and pregnancy brain, it would be nice to see those notifications on my fitbit since my phone is tucked away in my desk and on silent.

I have just bought a Charge 2, and I second this request for additional notification options on iOS phones. There is technical no reason why we can't have all notifications, as enabled on the iPhone. It's just a software tweak. For me personally Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter, Email, SMS and Phone Call notifications are a must!! Thanks in advance.

I think that having Facebook messenger and snapchat notifications available on all fitbits including the charge 2 would greatly increase the desireablitiy of this product.

Alta HR - I totally agree to add what apps/line notification to both IOS and Android mobiles.   Now, this function only workable in Android mobiles, I don't believe this function cannot be launched in ISO mobiles.  Please add this function as soon as possible to convenient the all users which are using IOS mobiles.  Thank you very much!

YES!! I only use Whatsapp to talk to most people, so having notifications for this would be amazing on iphones!! Having emails come through would be great too!

Yes, I agree to add this function to all types of Fitbit models to both iPhone and Android mobiles.  At least can pop up a message icon for notification

I bought my Alta HR on Friday and I'm really satisfied. The only thing that bothers me - beside its limited workout recognition - is that you can only choose one app to receive notifications from. I use multiple messengers (Signal, WhatsApp, Telegram) and two of them are supported. However, I can only choose one of them.

Literally years of requests asking for WhatsApp and other third party messaging apps to be added for all platforms and devices, and all models of Fitbit - and nothing still for iOS... it's 2017, who on earth uses SMS??  Come on FitBit... pull your fingers out.    For the price you charge this is a basic necessity for a tracker that touts notifications as a selling point!
