Waterproof trackers

I'm looking for a completely waterproof tracker with all of the features (sleep, heart rate, steps, stairs, miles, calories, reminder to move, phone alerts, clock with date, etc) all in one. When??  Please make this your next release!!!!!

Hi all,
I can't be the only one who thinks that fitbit need to introduce a waterproof tracker. I work in a swimming pool so some days miss upto 6 hours of tracking data.
I love the fitbit community and the challenges but when it comes time to upgrade my tracker I will be looking for something waterproof not to miss out on all that data so come on fitbit give us a waterproof tracker.....Please ☺☺

Hi
The big problem I have with the Fitbit blaze is I can't swim with it. A lot of Fitbit users probably have the same problem. If it were up to me I would make a new band that is waterproof as you can move the module.

If you make the band waterproof then maybe you could also track swimming.

I would really appreciate it if this water proof band could be made!
Thank you
Rory

Hi everyone.

I just gave it up. And thats also my adwise to you all.

As a fitbit-flex user I waited now 2 years. On facebook nobody from fitbit gives you an answer on the support they send you here, just to see, that over 1000 person have the same issu.

So I now bought the:   "Garmin Vivosmart HR"

Waterproof and much more features than the flex or even the charge hr.

In switzerland now in the mediam. for only 99CHF.

So byebye waiting for developers from fitbit which can not read. And bye to you all community. I found something better and you all can do It as well. Good luck.

As a Fitbit enthusiast for several years I truly enjoy the motivation, the app interface and the wonderful community of friends. I have, unfortunately developed some osteoarthritis and had a recent total hip. I have to cut back on my impact activities. I will return to swimming but don't want to lose Fitbit. If Garmin and speedo can do it certainly Futbit can! I don't want to lose my community

@Rory13 - good luck - go to page 1 of this discussion and you will see we've been asking for a waterproof versi I n of Fitbit since 2013. I would have thought Blaze would have this feature but no such luck. Garmin is coming out with Vivoactive HR in May. Does everything Surge and Blaze do AND it's waterproof! Shame Fitbit won't listen to its customers....

@Abhitm with the Blaze, Fitbit could just release a stressful with a waterproof housing for the Blaze tracker unit.

I have a charge and so does my wife.  We would both gladly give up the altimiter for them to be waterproof.  We do a lot of outdoor activities either at pools or on the beach all summer long and it would be great to be able to track what we are doing and not worry about taking off the fitbit.

It would take more that that, for it to become waterproof.

So many reasons above for a Fitbit swim or swimfit that surely you don't need anymore. Just decide to do one and give your customers what they need. Please.

Please include waterproof feature in development or enhancements to Fitbit products.

Would love to see a waterproof Fitbit or a case released to waterproof the existing models. So many of your competitors already boast waterproof features and you would sell so many more if they were made so.

It would be great too if they could make older versions water proof by adding some kind of cover... I swim and would love this feature for my Charge HR

I think it would be great if Fitbit could develop a multi sport waterproof version of surge or blaze so we can leave the watch on when swimming and use it in swimming training or in triathlons. You need to keep up with garmin and tom tom

A Fitbit that is entirely waterproof and is mainly for swimmers or sports in the water. I swim competitively and would love to be able to wear my Fitbit and hit my exercise goals in the water. Thank you!

Totally agree. I love the fit bit and app but in summer time i swim every day for excersise.
I'd love to stay with Fitbit but none are. Probably have to change to another make but would like to stay with Fitbit if they develop one.
Charging could be via induction. Coils in the strap and the device could be coiled up in a ring which is also a coil and would charge the device.

Even if you could develop some sort of case or cover that we could wear when doing watersports that would be good - I kayak and would really like to know what my heart rate is up to, calories burned, etc, but I'm too worried about salt water damage to my Charge HR.  I'm thinking about hashing some sort of cover together myself and my skills base for this type of thing is zero!  So if I can maybe Blue Peter a cover together, then surely your developers can. We have been asking for this type of thing for YEARS now and you are losing customers, it really is the one downfall to your trackers (everything else is great).

All.. The best bet for a cover would be on the Blaze as it clicks out of
the strap and could therefore be installed in a rubberised waterproof
housing/strap.

That is only the first part as Fitbit would then need to create new
algorithms to associated watersports related wrist movements to their
associated Sports and therefore calorie consumption.

Fitbit needs to come up with a waterproof version of their bands! I want to be able to go swimming in the sea and shower etc without having to take it off.

Or even a silicone casing type cover that could go on the bands we already have?? The difficulty would be getting the heart rate to work with that but I would love to be able to go swimming with the Charge HR I already have and love.

The HR monitoring works through a clear plastic bag. So a waterproof case that had a clear plastic backing should allow for the HR monitoring to keep working. Since we don't change altitude while in the water it shouldn't matter to be sealed airtight. I'm just waiting for this to show up from a 3rd party...

Completely agree. Having a Charge HR waterproof would be ideal, as I swim, cycle and walk. Plus now I have a little son I am taking him swimming. Would be great to be able to keep the Charge HR on all the time for these activities.

There's a company that advertises it can waterproof your Flex or Charge HR.  With the Charge HR, you lose the altimeter, but all the other functions work.  (I'm afraid to be without my Charge HR,  so I'm not planning to make use of their services, but still...)    And other companies manage to make a tracker with a heart rate monitor that is also waterproof.

Is it really that difficult to make a waterproof device, Fitbit?

Options:  A waterproof case for your existing device.  A waterproof version of a current device.  A separate device just for water sports, like swimming and water aerobics -- really easy to use, since our accounts can accomodate being linked to multiple trackers at the same time.

I love my Charge HR but I can't take it swimming or do anything water related. I believe that if there can be waterproof watches so can there also be a waterproof Fitbit. I have faith in you please deliver a great new waterproof product! 😊
