I was trying to log my food today and it will not show any food when I put an item in. It will also not show anything in the database when I scan and I know those items are in there. Please help. I have a sense 2 and an apple

I've been having this problem ever since Saturday when they fixed issue where we were not being able to scan or look up foods.
Hi, @demondoyle @nerdpower13 @jacksol422 Fitbit is reporting this issue as “resolved”. I would recommend making sure that your app is updated to the latest version and then trying again. I hope this helps!

Best AnswerI just updated my app and it is still not working. Still no drop-down to choose serving type and clicking Save does nothing.

Please make sure that you have the latest Fitbit App update available.
Then try turning your phone off and on again.
If the issue persists please let us know what phone you are using and it's operating system as well as the app version you have installed. (eg. Pixel Phone 7 Android 12 App 4.55. Iphone 16 iOS 18.2.1 App 4.54, etc)

Can you confirm what's the Fitbit App version you have on your device, please? If needed you'll have to update it.

We have noticed that this gets solved with the app update.
Also it's recommendable to restart your phone (off/on) .

Best Answer@JuanFitbit, I did restart and it didn't work. There are no new updates for Fitbit from the Google Play Store right now.

I'm not sure if you are still experiencing this difficulty. If so, please try to perform the following troubleshooting steps:
Best AnswerAfter the food entry went down completely ( no food database ) and then came back up, there is no dropdown menu where there used to be to enter custom foods (and there are a lot of them due to homemade and changed commercial compositions maintaining the same UPC).
As a result, despite entering every available parameter, the Custom Food cannot be saved.
Just a waste of time entering all the other data because, as is basic for math, one needs to know the units for further calculations!
So please restore a functional dropdown menu for CUSTOM FOOD generation so the data can be saved and used.
Best Answer@jacksol422 Fitbit had a widespread problem that affected both Android an iOS. I use an iPhone and can save custom foods. Do you use Android or iOS?
I recommend posting app issues in the forum for your phone type. It helps bring it to Fitbit's attention.
