Metal trim on back of Sense 2 fell off

Has anyone had this problem and is it safe to use superglue to fix.  See pic

Too little, too late.

This is the best solution if you still have your metal strip and out of warranty.

I have contacted support, but they were of no real help. I'm still baffled
that this single failure point has no spare part that can be purchased and
thus turns out fitbits into disposable devices.

Hi, I used E6000, avoiding the metal pin. So far so good. I found my battery life very reduced when missing one plate.

I bought from an unauthorized reseller, so I'm out of luck. Seems like a design flaw should be covered anyway, but there you go.

The bottom metal piece came off my sense 2. Google support couldn't help and told me to buy a new one.  My watch isn't even a year old. What options do I have?? I purchased the watch through amazon.

I was able to contact customer support and they are replacing mine, but just the watch part itself, no other components, like the bands and charger. However, I did buy mine through the Fitbit website. If you purchased yours through Amazon, Amazon might be able to warranty it for you.

I had one of the metal pieces from the back of my Sense 2 this week. It's out of warranty,  so I don't know what options I have.

Bought it from fitbit.com in October 2022, shortly after the sense 2 launched.

Sense 2 since Oct 22, 2022. Android. Joined Fitbit Feb 2016. Previous: Versa 2, Charge 3, Alta, Charge.

I contacted them. They said they couldn't help me because its not a pixel watch. Gave a 35% discount for a new watch. Which is the same price currently being offered in their store. I feel I have no choice with fitbit anymore because Google isn't supporting it.

Does anyone know what these pieces do?  My watch seems to be working fine without them.  Are they needed?

Same thing just happened to me! I was wearing the watch and it just fell off while wearing it! What do you do to get a support team message started?

Just had the same thing happen to me, even though overall the device seems to still work ok...but it is ridiculous that warranty is 1 year for a fitness device and these issues always seem to crop up around 2 years of use...

I did some research on glues specifically for plastics and electronics -
since the help line said “there is no fixing it”
Which should totally be illegal lol
Because Fitbit has moved any operations they had in South Africa so I’m
screwed.

I do not work for Fitbit, I am in no way knowledgeable about how to repair
any devices, I gambled a bit after doing some ‘research’ and reading posts
on various forums.
Bought a specific glue, gently scraped out the old glue residue, and glued
the things back together. Being careful not to get any on the little sticky
out thing behind the metal trim.
I let it cure for 48 hours and so far so good. 🤷🏽‍:female_sign:

I have bought 5 fitbits over my lifetime. And this sense two is the worst and i'm very disappointed in the company not standing by their product. It's.Disgraceful and there are words I would like to say but then they will remove me from this Forum.

Sorry this has happened.   Linda and I really enjoy our Fitbit apps and it helps keep us fit .  Like you - we  go way back with our fitbits .    I use a Garmin mounted on my bikes for biking stats but get my health stats at the same time from my Sense 2 .    I have talked several times to a repair shop - Joes in Washington State .   They are sending me a glue they recommend for the Sense 2 that I have no warranty on ( from Marketplace ) and instructions I will be able to pass on .  They  don’t have the metal pieces but they are on the lookout.   As seen in the photo, I do have a good Sense 2 bought from Fitbit with a 35% off to replace my original Sense .  I bought an extra year warranty from google .

This just happened to me today as well! I happened to notice that it was sitting against my skin when I moved my Fitbit away from my wrist. I’ve had this Fitbit for a couple years, but I’m not really sure what I’m supposed to do about this. I have never once worn this Fitbit in water. Can anyone help?
