Did you mean:

No apps are available for the Sense 2

Hi!

I'm a new Fitbit user, and right now I'm very disappointed. I just upgraded my band (mi band previously) to Fitbit Sensa 2 and this doesn't make sense, to be honest.

No apps are available for this smartwatch. I see the "compatible apps" section from the Fitbit app, but when I go there no apps are available for Sensa 2.

Basic functions that work on cheap bands like daily agenda or remote photo trigger are not available for a higher-class smartwatch. You can't be serious about that!

Also, I feel scammed because one of the functions you promote Sensa2 is the SpO2 checker, well this also is not available. You know that after covid people want this feature.

Not mention Google Assistant, Maps, or Wallet. I expected at least to be able to use my Google Assistant (connected to Google home)

I feel like this smartwatch is 2 steps back from what is available on the market, but you have hidden this information. My obvious choice between Sensa and Sensa2 was the upgraded version, but right now I see that the "2" is this downgraded.

When users can expect basic applications available? and seriously the answer "coming soon" is not the answer

You released an unfinished device, but promote it as a full-fledged product.

Current firmware version 1.184.52 (newest)

This all depends I guess on the country you bought the Fitbit in. This is the Fitbit website for the USA containing the Return Policy that has been in place since November 2018.

The sense 2 is so different from the sense. A lot of the apps are gone. I get a walk notification just walking through the house. I’m thinking of going back to the sense until they can get more apps

Thanks for the comments and advice. Unfortunately the seller in my case has a strict "unused" return policy so this is not an option. I am now stuck with a $300 device which is equivalent in function and quality to a $25 Chinese fitness tracker.

Indirectly relating to the website description but specifically to the point on another thread about Google Assistant, I notice during setup/reset there is there is an image of the watch face with a Google Assistant icon and a description of "choose a voice assistant", meaning more options than just Alexa, this is still there today. This is further gross misrepresentation on the part of fitbit. The Sense 2 is a failure of epic proportions.

All these shortcomings and missing features on Sense 2 and Versa 4 are heavily requested in the Feature Suggestion board here as well as on other social network platforms already.

I am not sure what else we could do. But let's just keep sending our feedback.

E.g.

https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/3rd-Party-Apps-on-Sense-2-and-Versa-4/idi-p/5248... has almost 700 votes already. Will fitbit take any action when it reaches 1k or 10k?

Basically charging 300$ for a dumbed down version of a health tracker. What a ripoff

Best Answer

@Ofekberen That's why Amazon is discounting it to USD199 from time to time.

Best Answer

They are free to change anything they want, the problem is the deliberate criminal misrepresentation about features which induced people to buy this watch. If it had 3rd party app support and Google Assistant as advertised it may be worth the $300 but the product i received should be priced lower than the Sense 1.

Best Answer

Actually this reply doesn't work, people spent money in a product because the company said something, we expect at least get what the website said the day we bought it.

I bought this watch for some features I will never get. That's disgusting.

Best Answer

I just got my new upgraded watch - same one as you and I am in disbelief as well. WTF I can’t even put my Spotify on it — I feel ripped off and angry and now don’t want this watch but not sure if I can give it back.

Best Answer

So doesn't support 3rd party apps, ok. However why can't it even use all the fitbit apps? Like SpO2, when I try to get it from the apps and faces section in the mobile Fitbit app it doesn't load anything. Where can I get support for features and apps?

Best Answer

The SpO2 has a tricky thing, you can't access directly, but you can see it in "Today" section on your watch. Or you can change your clock face to any with SpO2. (Like the one I'm using).

And in the app you should see oxygen saturation in Health Metrics.

Google scammed Fitbit users intentionally by not providing 3rd party apps on the Sense 2 and Versa 4.  Their website mislead Fitbit users and changing the wording on it is not a fix.  Google needs to add the ability to use 3rd party apps on these "smart watches".

Best Answer

I wouldn't call this a scam. If Fitbit said nothing about apps being available on their "upgrade" device and we later realize they are not supported, that would be a scam. However, Fitbit explicitly saying on their website that 3rd party apps are available when in fact they are not is fraudulent misrepresentation, this is criminal and they should be held accountable. An apology is not enough.

100% Correct.

@five8s the best reply by far.

Now I'm just wondering, why doesn't anyone from fitbit speak up considering how many people we are in their forum complaining. The really don't seem to care about their customers at all. I'm actually starting to wonder if Google intentionally is trying to destroy fitbit and to shut it totally down so they only have to sell pixel watches with all of fitbits features... makes you think!

So messed up!

By now it should be evident to everyone, that damage control is in full operation. I posted a thread under the Title "Fitbit you lost the loyal supporters with the release of the Sense 2" that thread is now locked and the title was changed to "Feedback about Sense 2" probably because it contained a picture that was available of the prerelease advertisement with 100s of apps available to the current one that omits that phrase.

And yes, it is correct to assume that this is more fraudulent then misleading. Therefore for me the last watches and trackers produced when Fitbit was not part of Google are the ones to buy. When those trackers die, remember your encounter with the Google Fitbit ones and find a different vendor at least that is what I will do when my Sense 1 has died.

Hi

I have received confirmation of my refund

in Spain they don’t mind if the watch has been used

I am very happy, Fitbit it is maybe good to track the sleep but no more than that.

I am happy to leave Fitbit

I recently purchased the Sense 2. I am very unhappy with the lack of apps? I did a comparison with my Versa 2 and the comparison showed the Sense 2 had all the functions the Versa 2 has. I am disappointed to find out it does not. I feel it was falsely advertised
How can an updated smartwatch have less functionality? I have been a loyal customer of Fitbit for many years. Very disappointed 😞

How come they only allow 1 smartwatch now on the Fitbit app? In the past if you had multiple Fitbit watches you could switch between them? I have to say I’m not happy
😞

This makes so much sense, it is quite disappointing to find out that apps cannot be installed.
