Announcing the release of Fitbit Firmware Update 1.184.52!

This update should now be available to all customers! If you have any difficulty updating, make sure you are following the directions in How do I update my Fitbit device?. If you choose to post about your issue, provide as many specific details as possible in your post so that we can assist you.

*Firmware releases are not distributed based on region or location and can reach anyone no matter where you reside. We do not recommend performing a factory reset to force the update to your device as your data will be lost and you may not get the update. Please be patient and wait until you see the update banner inside of the Fitbit app to begin the firmware download.

Thanks for the information @Flower_Goddess  😁. It seems we are very unlucky. I'm gonna hazard a guess that they are ruling out our to users in alphabetical order ... assuming so I'm right at the back of the queue as my surname begins with a 'Y'!

Thanks again for passing on the info that the fitbit team seem to be unwilling to pay in here,  I hope you get your sense 3 updated soon ... keep us all posted!

I’m in the UK and got the update this evening but don’t seem to have Google Wallet, still got Fitbit pay. Any ideas why?

@Ian-J Google Wallet appeared 2-3 days after update so you may still have to wait.

@Mnp000 I just got my update today. I have on wrist-calls, but not the Google pay yet.

Note: you have to set up the on-wrist calls after the update through the app as @SunsetRunner has shown below in his screenshot through Bluetooth.

@Flower_Goddess me too! Update appeared about 15 minutes ago and has just competed. Like you no wallet yet,  only fitbit pay (no UK banks supported so I don't have a fitbit pay wallet to convert) so I'm hoping we with both get Google wallet in the next few days - I'll update you when it appears.

Hi everyone. It's good to see you here.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and the steps tried prior to posting. Before anything else, let me explain the 1.184.52 firmware update for the Sense 2 is progressively rolling out to all our members. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this has caused, and your feedback is appreciated. Our team is working hard to bring this update to all of you, so please check the Fitbit app later if you don't see it yet.

@tacopa and @RonaldM Thanks for confirming the ECG app is working well on your watches. This is good news and if you have any other question, don't hesitate to let me know.

@denmike2 I understand you haven't received the update yet, but may I know if the ECG app is working well? If not, please provide me with more details about what it's not working and the steps you've already tried. This will help me to further investigate on my end.

"The red x" normally indicates something has gone wrong during update/setup. Try to perform a "Factory reset" by scrolling down on your clock face - "Settings (cog-wheel)" - "About Sense 2" -  "Factory rese"

@Flower_Goddess I’ve got Google pay now, I reinstalled the app on my phone as I’m now missing ECG.

Unfortunately it look like Halifax bank doesn’t support on wrist payments!

@Ian-J Yes, I got mine now too. It works with mine, but I've heard some having issues adding their card to Google Pay and it's a bug or something. I see ECG still in my apps, but no longer my tile.

Edited version, that should not violate fitbits rules:

ECG as far as I know is only available in certain certified countries/regions. If you're in an approved region you'll still need to ensure that the country has been set correctly both in the app AND on your fitbit account (on fitibt.com). For some reason my fitbit account was set to nothing, and after fixing that it would install.

HOWEVER: It is *REALLY* *REALLY* poor design from fitbit that they just stop in a loop instead of giving a proper error message. It took me ages to figure out what the problem was!

Anyone having any luck on getting information as to what exactly needs to be done to get a debit card supported in the Google Wallet app on the Fitbit? Added my Capital One credit card with no issues. My debit card works great in GPay/Google Wallet on my phone, but I can't add it on my Fitbit.

I've already contacted my bank and they are saying everything looks good on their side but I'm thinking there is something additional they have to do to support Google Wallet on the Fitbit, I just need to be able to tell them what that additional action is and I'm sure they will be happy to do it.

Is there a list of banks that participate in Fitbit-Google Pay? Apparently, cards working on mobile phones often don't work in GoogleWallet on Fitbit. My HSBC card (UK) didn't work with FitbitPay and doesn't work with GoogleWallet but it works with GooglePay on my mobile phone.

@Flower_Goddess - just got Google wallet and successfully added my Mastercard debit card.  Can't add my Amex credit card though.  So far so good here... need to try making a purchase next.

Received the update last night. The UI is a lot smoother and less laggy. Looks good. Keep the updates coming.

To be it seems like the Google Pay bit is now on watches but the system is still using FitBit pay.

What is going on with this ECG app? I've received the new update but I am unable to download the ECG app. I can see it when I check the available/compatible apps, but when I try to download it, the loading bar does not react.
