SpO2 data still not syncing to the Fitbit App

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Yesterday the thread was closed as apparently this issue has been resolved but not for me!! Very frustrating and disappointing considering the cost to me for buying 2 of these watches (myself and wife). My iPhone app has not updated, it still shows NO DATA for SpO2. I have deleted the app twice and reinstalled it. So for Fitbit to close discussion on this is rubbish. Seriously considering returning both watches now 😞

And all health metrics are showing the correct day except for Sp02.

@Peak_PJ I see you may also have a lagging by a day issue with SPO2

@Guy_  Re your question: Does it lag on both watch Today App and health metrics?

Answer: No, only in the health metrics

Re your question: In what timezone are you? Antarctica perhaps!

Answer: GMT +8

Re your question: Have you checked to see if your phone is connecting to the internet well.

Answer: Yes, it is well connected, I have a 1 GB speed unlimited fiber internet, my house is wired with network points in all rooms, router and mesh connect to the some wired points for good wifi signals.

Re your question: Have you spoken with Fitbit support about it?

Answer: Nope, perhaps I ought to, but they are aware of the issue as Lizzyfitbit has stated in her message.

@Sparhawk69  Thanks for the feedback, useful to know, and that Antarctica is not far! lol

Also partially the good news is the SpO2 is being measured, calculated and processed at Fitbit, for it to appear on the watch.

There however seems to be an issue with the display in Health Metrics. Both the calculation and presentation is done at Fitbit and that seems to have problems, again!

There is not much you can do about it, as they have to fix it.

@Guy_

For your information Antarctica is split into 8 different time zones ranging from UTC-6 to UTC+13. And can't be otherwise.

@Giampi71  Thanks, useful information, originally it was intended as humorous to explain the delay!

But as you mention it, it must be a nightmare keeping track of what time it is if you live at the pole!  Lol

Made me smile, thanks.

Hi everyone.

Thanks again for the screenshots, as well as replying back with the requested information. I apologize for the inconvenience you've experienced about the Fitbit app not showing your SpO2 data correctly. I went ahead and forwarded your posts to our team and I was told they're aware of this issue affecting some of our users, and they're working to identify a solution as quickly as possible. Your patience and efforts are truly appreciated, and rest assured your feedback has been passed along to the right team so they can be informed of the impact to you and other members.

Please make sure to keep the Fitbit app updated in your phones as you've doing so far. I'll update this thread once I have more details from them.

See you around.

Since changing to a Sense from an Ionic my overnight spo2 level is much lower.  Is this a know bug with the Sense?

Hi @Ga1ileo

I have been followed by doctors and sometimes using clinical measurents concerning SpO2 and found that Sense's SpO2 were quite acceptable, until the firmware update about a month ago. Since then, I just don't trust Sense SpO2 values and I am just waiting for the new just announced firmware update, hoping it will provide reliable SpO2 values again.

Thanks.  I have mild OSA so important to know it is reasonably accurate.  Might try my Ionic again and see if results improve

In case you are interested in reading more about this subject, there are in this Fitbit Community forum several recent posts that include SpO2 issues on Sense, including one I posted a few days ago about this (https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Sense/SpO2-and-Floors-values-still-not-ok/m-p/4920799#M29995).

For whatever reason, Fitbit seems unable to find a way to solve a constant, long running SPO2 ability to record and/or synch with the app.

I have an SPO2 thing for my finger. It takes 10 seconds to give readout + heart beat. Can do this every 10 seconds all day long.
So what is so difficult that the Sense can’t do this.
WTF?

Mine says the exact same thing and I did all the steps requested. It worked for two days then quit for two days, worked one more day, and quit two days ago. This is the last Fitbit I buy. I was on a thread about this very issue last week, then the update came which said it fixed the problem with the Spo2, and after a day of messing around with it, was when it started working, and Fitbit moderators declared problem solved and closed the thread. Said to start a new one if the problem arose again, but I saw this thread and added to it. If you want a new thread, by all means, make my post a new thread or keep adding to this. Either way, it doesn't sound like moderators/Fitbit don't really care. BTW, my sleep metric stopped working (as in it stopped combining my fractured sleep together like it always has before) two days ago as well, but I will start a new topic on that.

I've been having this issue as well on and off for at least the last month.  I reached out to support and they didn't have any information or time line when they thought it would be fixed.  The first time it was almost a week with no data. Since then it doesn't register for a couple of days each week so it is hit or miss when it decides to give me the information.  I have started changing my watch face each night so that I can see the percent when it decides to tell me.  This is a very bad time for the device to stop reporting on the oxygen level.  Please give us an update on when a solution can be expected.

By the way, the info doesn't show on the watch or the health metric page when it decides not to register.  So it is not like the watch is working and the app is not, the problem is with the watch because the watch face doesn't show the data.

Thank you.

Mine stopped working (again) two days ago. Tracks on the watch but doesn't sync the SpO2 levels in the app. Non stop problems with this device.

@Arecad  It seems it's a Fitbit delivery of information to your Fitbit App problem.

The measurements are working, it's the processing of the information that isn't.

Only SpO2. Everything else syncs fine so whether app or watch...the process is broken. App shows syncing fine with no errors or anything. Looks exactly like the problem we had a couple of weeks ago.

1. iPhone 11 Pro Max, iOS 14.7.1

2. Fitbit 3.44 (1059)

3. Yes, I confirm. The SpO2 data is displayed on the Today app on my Sense.

4. Yes, it is.

@Peak_PJ  That's useful information, it confirms that the delivery of the SpO2 to your Health Metrics is not working, again, in the latest Fitbit App version 3.44 on a regular iOS phone.

This bug seems to be at the Fitbit server level that sends the information to your app.

However your watch is still working correctly.

Thank you.

So again last night my Sense did not record SpO2.  Seems to be happening weekly these days.  Is this a sign of a defective watch?
