SpO2 data still not syncing to the Fitbit App

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Yesterday the thread was closed as apparently this issue has been resolved but not for me!! Very frustrating and disappointing considering the cost to me for buying 2 of these watches (myself and wife). My iPhone app has not updated, it still shows NO DATA for SpO2. I have deleted the app twice and reinstalled it. So for Fitbit to close discussion on this is rubbish. Seriously considering returning both watches now 😞

If time zone is the cause then the lag should also happen to the other 4 health metrics and not just Sp02.

@scaddenp I used Time zone Thailand.

@scaddenp - funny about time zone being the issue, we're no longer in the era where it takes 80 days to get around the world!

All the processing & presentation in the Fitbit App is done at different speeds, as can be seen after a sync.

Often the tile summary does not match the underlying data at certain moments, which can be puzzling.

The message "no data" is also misleading as it can sometimes mean not processed yet.

The health metrics is the slowest of the elements to get updated, with SpO2 being the last by hours.

When the Today app shows sync complete that is not the end of the story. There is still a lot of data transfer, processing and presentation to complete.

You may find the watch shows SpO2 before health metrics does, or it may or may not get calculated at all, for all sorts of different reasons.

@Gerardb88  - you would think but that is not the case. I speculate that because SPO2 was an addon, it has different sync code.

So Thailand is same ballcourt as Australia/NZ.  I often check metrics at night and SPO2  has still not come through. SPO2 is always lagging a day. @guy I can only conclude that sync code for SPO2 has a bug. Someone not accounting for timezones perhaps.

I am in the US Eastern time zone.  This happened to me just once a few days ago, and then resolved itself when the next morning sync occurred roughly 24 hours later, with the previously missing days, and the current day recording in Health Metrics.

Are they working on fixing the consistency of this? Every few months mine just stops syncing the SPO2 to my app and I have to go through all these steps multiple times before it fixes. It's really frustrating.

I doubt it - feels more like they have abandoned Sense - but I would love to be proved wrong.

This never gets old....NOT!  Each time this happens I have to go through the steps (Shut down Sense, Go into app and clear cache, restart phone (Galaxy S9), restart sense, synch.) And sometimes I have to add a step to restart phone AGAIN to capture the days missed. Most times it works again BUT Last step is always wait for it to happen again in a week or so.
