Failing to link with MyFItnessPal

ANSWERED

I had my Fitbit connected with MyFitnessPal for a very long time but it stopped syncing. I read to disconnect and connect it again so I did that but when trying to connect it I get this error even tho I click 'allow all' on Fitbit permissions. I tried clicking each one of the permissions individually, tried on both my phone and computer but keeping getting the same error.

Have to agree here. Fitbit has been getting less and less reliable on sync to MFP, and I am not getting a Google watch...

Please fitbit get this sorted

Having the exact problem this started last week. Worked for one day then did not sync with MyFitnessPal and not able to connect with that app

MyFitnessPal have closed my case, and pointed me to this article -

Which basically says they're looking into it. So no concrete updates yet...

Thanks for letting me know. Much appreciated.

I think this is a Fitbit issue though rather than MyFitnessPal as other Fitbit users are reporting they can't link to Strava or Noom.  So its not isolated to MFP.

However Fitbit dont seem to be acknowledging it, and so far haven't even posted about the issue.

I’ve had a few emails from Fitbit asking some relevant questions about the issue so hopefully they have got the message now that there’s a problem 🙏🏻

@KCMcL maybe point them to this thread so we can pile on some poor developer 😂

Me too. I am kind of glad it is not just me and that we now know they are working on it. Seems like a first world problem to me. I will wait a week before trying to reconnect the two apps again.

Good to know. Not good for any Fitbit user. Google/Fitbit would be smart
to at least acknowledge there is an issue to all users. At least we know
they are working on it.

Well mine might have worked yesterday, but today it's back to just syncing 51 steps and nothing else

Same here, and had I known I wouldn't be able to reconnect them I wouldn't have tried the disconnect/reconnect solution!  When is this going to fixed, Fitbit??

Best Answer

Mine worked temporarily too, and then stopped after a few days. I can't get it to sync back up now.

Works for 24h and failed to sync again!

I'm living fitbit & google stuffs! No support from fitbit or google... so sad

Hello everyone, let's give all a warm welcome to the new members of the Fitbit Community!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention and providing all the information you have about this issue.

I'd like to share some news from the official MyFitnessPal website. It looks like they are experiencing issues, which seems to be causing the connectivity problems on our end.

Please refer to this link for more information: Issues Connecting and Syncing with Fitbit

Where in that article does it say server problems on their side? The error is happening on the Fitbit url when linking!

I’ve been able to get Fitbit inspire 2 to sync with MyFitnessPal however my calories are not syncing from MyFitnessPal to my Fitbit.
