Fitbit Update 10/29/2015: As this issue has now been resolved, I am closing the thread from further discussion.

Thank you to everyone who reported this issue and for your patience while we worked to get it resolved. Happy to know that your food logs are back to normal! Robot Very Happy

Fitbit Update 10/25/2015

Syncing food from MFP to Fitbit is now back to normal. Thank you again for everybody's patience while this problem was being worked out.

Fitbit Update 10/22/2015: MyFitnessPal is aware and has added this to their known issues page. Fitbit and MyFitnessPal are closely working together to get this issue resolved ASAP.

In the meantime, a workaround to try is to manually delete the duplicate entries from your Fitbit Food Log. In order to delete duplicate entries, do the following:

  1. Go to your Fitbit Food Log.
  2. Hover over the duplicate food item, an "X" should appear on the left-hand side.
  3. Click the "X" to delete the entry (illustrated below).

Another option is to unlink your MyFitnessPal account from your Fitbit account and checking your calories on MFP until the multiplying issue is fully resolved!

Thank you for your continued patience as we work alongside MFP to get this issue resolved!

Fitbit Update 10/21/2015: Some users have reported that their MyFitnessPal food log entries are being multiplied on their Fitbit Food Log.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but Fitbit and MyFitnessPal are both aware of the issue. We are currently working on resolving this issue with MFP's help. MyFitnessPal has also posted an update here as well. I will share updates here with everyone when I find out more! Thank you for your patience! Robot Very Happy

YES! Mine started doing that today as well. Is it a glitch that started today? I'm glad I'm not alone!!

Yup same here.  I had to go in and manually delete all the extra entries.  What a pain.

My fitbit started to double my calories today just wondering is this is from last update being buggy/faulty or it is something else.

I am using MyFitnessPal

Same issue since the update yesterday. For now I'm double checking fitbit app each time I input something in mfp.

To delete a food entry in fitbit, long press on it and you get the option to delete. Annoying that this is happening but manageable until they fix it.

Ah thanks so much, I didn't realize u could delete something if u entered
it in thru MFP. Have u noticed that your exercise has been doubling as
well? Whenever I try to delete one of the doubled exercise logs it deletes
both.
Anyways, thanks again.

I have exactly the same problem. It started yesterday and all of a sudden I was getting strange summaries of meals I haven't had and a message saying that I was more than 4000 calories over my budget. Today, it's only lunchtime and I'm almost 800 calories over even though that's not true. I'm also using My fitness Pal but I have checked my logs against the summaries I'm being given by Fitbit and the numbers don't coincide at all. Please fix this quickly because it's rather annoying (and depressing) to see that you have overeaten even though you know it's not true.

Mine too - sometimes as much as x5 😕

Additionally, my 'active minutes' seem to be screwed (as in, they refuse to budge from 0, and I would usually have clocked up at least 35mins of active minutes by now. I deliberately jumped up and down for a little while to test it, and no luck).

Just noticed mine doing the same, the app is taking the data from MyFitnessPal is that the same for everyone?

Need to log in  on the web page go to "log" at the top of the dashboard, the food lists on this page , hover mouse over incorrect entries and click the 'X' that appears to remove the extras.

The pattern appears to be that one entry will be a correct total for the meal, the rest are aggregated totals as you enter them . Confusing and frustrating isnt it

This is happening to both myself and my husband, we both use MFP for food and Fitibit for steps.

I think the issue must be with Fitbit and I am currently going through and deleting the extra entries. It started a few days ago, hopefully someone will let us know what is going on? Very confusing!

On the phone app for Fitbit click on Food/calories eaten and click on the day you want to delete entries from.

It was giving me 2 or 3 "dinner" entries for example,

so swipe left where it shows the calories for "dinner summary" and the delete button shows up.

You just have to double check you are deleting the right ones as such.

Re MFP

I am getting this as well, and in addition, in MFP I am also getting messed up excercise entries too from my sync to LF Connect fitness machines.

I had 90,000 kilojoules one day and aroud 3000 hours exercise logged which of course is impossible.

Have logged a ticket with them also saying the fitbit sync is not right and am seeing multple kilojoule adjustments but no pattern to it.

Seems to be a website issue as I dont normally use the phone apps for fitbit or mfp
