But, does it work a few days later?  I reset mine and it worked fine.  A few days later, not so much.

The only steps I have are in my original post. It works once & you must repeat it each day to get the FitBit to sync. Shame on FitBit for killing so many user experiences with an app update. I hit 17,000 miles today,  but lost a couple of days because of no syncing.

For what it is worth, I have been in active communication with Fitbit support with an open support ticket (as well as notifying the executive staff) that has basically gone nowhere.

In a nutshell, just find it hard to believe that Fitbit is taking this issue seriously.  I have offered time and time again to test any potential solutions that might be available.  Kicking the ball down the road is just alienating everyone.  At a minimum, they should simply let the community know that they are aware of the issues, actively working on it, and provide realistic ETAs.  Whoever is running the current show is running Fitbit into the ground.

Up to this point, our Fitbit Zip has been amazing.  We rely on it every day.  Branding, reliability and trust is *everything*.  Simply owning up to issues brings the associated credibility. Once you lose it, you will never get it back.

Just my two cents....

My first reply I cleverly did a reply email . so you never saw where I said
I'd try your fix in a bit. Tonight was the time. When I opened up Fitbit I
had a new interface! I removed and replaced the battery in my Fitbit to get
todays steps in. Then synced and in they went. As I tried to find the
'Remove this Zip' I noticed syncing occurring. I walked a bit. Came back and
everything synced.. Did it again and it synced correctly again. So, maybe
something was updated by Fitbit and the world is good again. Or, this will
fall apart on me later. Time will tell. Thanks

At least for android, they are stuck at the 8/15/19 update which equates to v3.3.1.  Through the grapevine there is a supposed 3.4.0 update that hasn't yet found its way to Android google play.  Only time will tell....

Mine is doing the same thing for 4 days now and it keeps draining the battery.  I have had to replace it twice in the last four days. I have taken the battery out 4 times trying to sync it, and replacing it twice. I am about to shut off the app and just use it in my laptop.

Same problem on Samsung phone, tablet and iPhone.  It's got to be Fitbit's latest update.  Yes, I managed to make it work (stand on one foot, face north, balance the device on your head, etc.) But within 24 hours its not working again. I used to be a huge Fitbit fan.  I think these latest problems tipped the scale for me... I'm going shopping for something else.  Bye bye Fitbit.

Syncing Much Better with latest Fitbit App v3.5 update

The Fitbit Zip syncing with the Fitbit App v3.5 (last updated on Aug 30, 2019) against my Samsung S7 and Samsung S7 edge Android 8.0 phones has indeed been much better over the past couple of days.  The occasional 'glitches' that I have come across so far have been remedied by either using 'Pull to Refresh' multiple times or if needed restart the phone/bluetooth.  Most importantly, I *have not* needed to reset my Zip by removing/inserting the battery like I needed to do over the past several weeks.

That said, customers shouldn't be forced to go the length that I did to get broken core features fixed.  Although I am certainly glad that the previous Android syncing issues have been addressed, there is more work that FitBit can and should do to avoid things like this in the future.

Curious if this version also works better for others with previous Android syncing problems.

Hi. Just updated the Fitbit App on my S7. Up until now I had to take out and
put back the battery in my Zip. A pain. Not this time. Synced right up .
faster than it used to! Anyway, this is just one time. If it doesn't keep
working I'll let you know.

There used to be a "Sync now" button on the dashboard. Not sure where it is now.

Pull down the tab at the top of the screen that says "Today." I think what you're looking for is there. That's how I sync my Zip.

Mine syncs when it wants to.

Funny, on the app it shows the amount left in the battery, but when I refresh it says device not found.

I am using a Samsung S8 Active
