Charge 3 not syncing with Fitbit app.

The app cant find my fitbit charge 3, Already tried restarting app, restarting phone. Now I let my phone forget the device and read that storting “new” device was a suggestion, But then the app still canot find the device. I only got it for 1 day.

Purchased a Charge 3 today. Initial set up went ok albeit very slow. Now it won't sync. I managed to change the clock face after 4 hours of trying but all my data was erased for the day. 

I've done all the steps listed in your response but my data has not come back. 

So sync not working and now all my data is gone. Is this a faulty fitbit?

I've recieved e-mails my Charge 3 battery is low and that I have this many steps to hit my goal. 

How does this happen when I am not able to get it to pair with my phone. My S6 sees it, but will not pair.

Is Fit bit working on a fix?

the best way I know is plug it in as you would to recharge the battery,
then hit the button on the left side of the watch as it is plugged in. I
did it twice and mine came back the right way and had my steps on it as
well. Hope it works this time.

I have restarted my Charge 3 numerous times. I removed the app from my
phone and reinstalled. Removed tbe device and added as new. My phone sees
the Charge 3, but will not pair.

This works but only as a temporary measure. I am restarting my Fitbit several times a week. I never has this many issues with Fitbit 1 or charge HR 2

I had to start mine, didn't work at first but then it did. Not sure why
but have had no problems since.

I had a Charge hr then a Charge2 and now a Charge 3. I never had the issue of not syncing until the last couple of months.. It's very frustrating to say the least. My phone, Samsung Galaxy 6,  sees My Charge 3, but will not pair.

I believe has to have been caused by an update of some sort. I wish they would get it figured out.

I have the same phone. I shut off my phone first then back on and then
tried to restart the watch. It did have something to do with the phone not
being up to date I believe.

I still cannot sync my Charge 3 to my Samsung 10S. Also the time is wrong
and nothing seems to be working.

Be sure to have your phone plugged in to reboot it, then you should be ok I
think. Good luck.

I've tried to reboot the watch too since the time is off by 4 minutes. It
won't do it.

sorry to hear, i know I had to do it at least twice (restart my phone)
before it got the correct time and would sinc.

I have the same problem. I have tried to restart, remove apps from phone and computer and reinstall... all NUMEROUS TIMES. I was on the phone with technical assistance and she advised that I just get a new Fitbit.  Really?????   I am at my wits end. This is not right!

I have had charge hr, charge 2 and now charge 3. I had no problems with syncing on any until the last few months. I did eveyrhing you did except talk with them. My phone sees my charge 3, but will no pair. It appears there a quite a few people with this issue. It seems it must have happened with an update. I wish they would fix it

I’ve just given up with it all together, mine is even 4 minutes late, can’t
fix that without being able to sync.

Try removing the charge 2 from your account.  That was the only thing that fixed the problems for me.

Fitbit 2 was never on this phone at all. Samsung 10s, it will not sync,
with both on chargers, neither on the charger , Bluetooth turned off, phone
rebooted, blue tooth back on etc. nothing works.

2 years on and this is still a problem.  The sync function does not work.   How many times should we reset, reinstall, upgrade software...blah blah blah.  Fed up with Fitbit and recommend everyone look for another brand.

I agree, this has been a problem from the beginning. Can't trust this
company any longer. The Charge 2 was great, Charge 3 stinks and now they
want to sell us the Charge 4. No thanks.
