What version of app do you have? Have you try log out from fitbit?

I have the most recent update. And yes I have tried the log off/in thing, etc.
I just had issues with the syncing and has to go through all of this just last week. And NOW the exercise is not recording accurately with the wrong times.
This is getting annoying.

Hmmm.. have you try changing the timezone? Disable “Set Automatically” and Set the time zone manually and restart. If the problem persist you may want to report this issue to support.

I think is good to provide a few details for the support like

1) Current IOS version

2) Current Fitbit App Version

3) What you had tried to troubleshoot the issue

try it again when you are on the street heading to work or back home where there is better gps tracking. I was excited to try the tracking once I got the update but I was in a building and it did not track properly. When I was back on the street and walk for about 5 mins, everything was recorded

I was outdoors in a well trafficked route with great cell reception as well. I have used the track option for the last three years. And I l’y in the last week since I uploaded the newest update have I gotten this issue.

My maps are working today after updating. It’s about time. Hopefully it keeps working.

Seriously how long will it take to fix? Having an exercise tracker that doesn’t track exercise is truly frustrating. I just purchased my Inspire HR  2 weeks ago (my Alta HR quit working, but did track exercise until it died). I believe I will return the Inspire, this is horrible customer service.

My time zone is correct too and now I'm noticing that my sleep activity portion is messed up with regards to when I'm sleeping.

Yes! That's what I'm noticing too. This morning it seems to be fine. But when I checked it last night before going to bed, the hours for the previous day were all screwed up.

It still doesn't work for me.  I have an iPhone 6 (I know, it's old).  When I try to track my run, the app freezes after my phone screen turns off and goes back to the dashboard when I open the app.  It won't let me click on Exercise within the app and I have to resort to logging out of Fitbit and then logging back in - at that point, the run is already lost.

I logged out, deleted the app then reinstalled it. If it’s an update I couldn’t tell. We’ll find out tomorrow when I walk. My problem has been since the last app update my exercising time is 5 hours ahead of the actual time. Thus no data is available to show my mile times and calories burnt. My sleep times are correct though. I have a Charge 2 and use my iPhone SE to map my walking route. My phone gives my my time per mile while I’m walking, but the Fitbit app doesn’t log the data correctly! It looks like it’s using GMT. How do I check my app version?

I wonder if this has anything to do with What you are using to track with? I am using an Apple Watch. I am going to disconnect my watch and report back tomorrow. I have the latest app updates, I deleted the app and reinstalled, logged in and out.

I updated the Fitbit app on my iPhone to 3.16 yesterday (Wed, March 4)  and it is back to working properly this morning. Shows the correct time after tracked (and auto -recognized) walk, and shows all the usual statistics

Hello,

I updated to app version 3.16 yesterday and the issues of incorrect time and missing exercise statistics  are both resolved this morning (so far).

Well put.  This happened after todays walk at 11am.  The gps data showed on the map but had no fitness data and said 6pm and would not let you edit the time.

It does not double count steps, but manually logged workouts are logged 5 hours ahead of actual time. It will double active minutes if I do cardio.
