Fitbit Update: 8/15
Hey all!
This week we released the option to opt-in to use the new dashboard to everyone. At this time, everyone should have received the option to opt-in already. If you didn't opt-in, we will transition everyone into the new dashboard in the coming weeks.
A reminder, after you've opted into the new design you cannot revert and go back to the old one. Read more about the new interface we've designed here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
Make sure you're also on the latest version of the Fitbit app.
Thanks for your patience while we completely released the new interface to everyone. We hope you're enjoying the improvements that have been made and appreciate all the feedback.
Fitbit Update: 8/6
Hey everyone!
Thanks for all your feedback on the new dashboard design. We're still in the process of releasing it to all of our users. If you don't see it yet, you will have it pushed to you in the coming weeks! This has been a slow process for the past few months to ensure a smooth rollout.
We're currently on app version 3.3, so please make sure as always that you have the latest version of the Fitbit app.
Once we've released this new dashboard to everyone, we will announce it in this thread.
Fitbit Update: 6/17
Hi Fitbit Family,
We are still rolling out our updated Fitbit app design to more users currently with v.2.95. Please make sure to update the Fitbit app by visiting the App store if you haven't already. If you don't see the new dashboard just yet, you will be receiving it at some point in the coming weeks.
Thanks so much for your patience throughout this rollout. To read more about this new dashboard experience, please check this article out: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
Once this rollout is complete, we will let you all know in this thread.
Fitbit Update: 5/22
Hi everyone!
We’ve rolled out another phase of testing for the new app dashboard experience. If you’re one of the lucky people to see it before the full release, you can read more about it here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
We’ll continue to slowly release this to all Fitbit customers on iOS and Android. Once we receive more information on this, we’ll let you know.
Hope you’re all enjoying this new layout!
Fitbit Update: 4/24
Hi everyone!
Beginning today with app v2.92, we're excited to announce a new dashboard experience for the Fitbit app, currently by invitation only. If you are invited to opt-in, you can see the new design and try our new app experience to access all your stats and information in a way that’s more dynamic, integrated, and highly personalized.
You can read more about it in this help article: What's the new Fitbit app experience?
As with all our new dashboard updates, this is a progressive rollout. If you don't have an invitation or see the dashboard immediately, you will receive it later on.
We will update this thread with more information later, so stay tuned!

I don’t like this new app at all!! I got teased yesterday and got the old version back which I totally love! Woke up this morning to this new version once again, I am not a fan. I don’t mind change when it makes sense, this is Drab, not interface friendly, I can’t see everything I need to see at a glance I have to scroll. Please give us back the old version!!

HATE the new dashboard design! It took me 15 minutes to locate how to set the silent alarm. I didn't opt in to try the new dashboard, but got it anyway. I was excited yesterday when the old dashboard appeared, but last night it was back to the new crappy design.

We’ve got a significant number of folks here looking to roll back to the previous dashboard weighing in here and no real response from your team on how to address our concerns or answer us how to achieve the outcome we’re looking for.
1) Please feel free to enroll me in a parallel beta program, I’m VERY happy to help in a side by side implementation and would be excited to assist Fitbit work on a successful and better Fitbit ecosystem.
2) Please tell those of us dragged into Fitbit’s involuntary UI/UX alpha test how to opt out and retain our preferred dashboard. There is clearly a way to bring back our old dashboard, because you gave it back to us for 24h. Please do so again.

I wish I liked it, but it is visually unappealing. I really liked the previous interface. It had bright colors and I could see everything easily. I can get around in the new interface, but the icons are smaller and less colorful. The arrows for scrolling between days are higher up on the screen making it harder to reach with my one handed surfing. I do like the ease of getting into the current challenges though.
Given a choice I would happily go back to the old interface.

I’m going to throw this out there too:
For visually impaired users, this UI is a massive step backwards in accessibility. The size of the visual information in the tiles is drastically reduced by 50%+.
If Fitbit doesn’t value differently abled or older users with reduced visual capacities the same way, they could just go ahead and tell them instead of making the app inaccessible.

I absolutely hate the new layout. Is there a way to change back to the old format?

Old dashboard is much more user friendly - the tiles made it easier to see everything at a quick glance, and it was more aesthetically pleasing.
Also, every time my app randomly switches to the new dashboard, I start having syncing issues with my Inspire and have to repeatedly close and re-open the app to get it to register the device again every time I try to sync.

I had the same experience! I suffered through a day with the new dash, it reverted to the old (and I was relieved!), but I'm now stuck with the new one again.
Has anyone provided any instructions for permanently going back to the old dash?

Please, please provide instructions to revert back to old dashboard version permanently and stop roll out until you have addressed the issues raised by the negative feedback.

That is another big issue! I am an older user and in order to see this new app when I am at the gym I have to put my glasses on. I don’t like wearing my glasses at the gym when I’m all hot and sweaty because they are sliding all over. With this new app I can’t check my progress unless I’m Stopping to put my glasses on. This new version is a real pain in the neck!!

Hello, I have recently been automatically upgraded to version 2.94, and unfortunately I find the dashboard more difficult to read. The iconography is not as easy to understand, and to my eye it looks like it would be an older version, not the new one.
If there is a way to opt back into the old version, I would really like that. Otherwise, I will get used to the change as always, but in the future I would recommend more easily distinguishable colors and icons.

I had the old dashboard back for a day and was so excited but now it’s back to the new one. Fitbit -for your continued success it may be wise to listen to your customers on this change. If you are an avid Fitbit user you will be accessing the app several times a day and will want a positive experience moving forward.

The new app is awful! Looks horrible and isn’t user friendly! It’s completely demotivated me and to be honest I’m thinking about getting rid of my Fitbit!

It seems like the Support Team here is unresponsive on the issue. Perhaps it would help if folks who are unhappy went over to the App Store and left 1 star reviews and ratings to nudge the issue forward.

Good point - I went on the App Store and reviewed. Honest feedback. Hopefully that will gain some momentum in sorting the UI change.

That is a brilliant idea! I also did a review on the Fitbit app as it seems they are being very non-responsive to everyone in this community. I have only read one review were they are enjoying the new version, everybody else is having issues.
Maybe they will pay attention if we are all putting our comments in the review section of the App Store.
Thanks for the brilliant idea!

Please listen Fitbit to all these people. And you say only a selective few are lucky enough to try this new dashboard before the rest. If this is the feedback from the selected few then just imagine the rage from the whole lot. It’s very disappointing this whole new look.
I ask you kindly to please just listen to the people here and work on fixing the issues. We know you can change back to the old dashboard cause you did it for us for a day. I even give you permission to just have a look at my account and see the issues I have been having with this new dashboard and please just fix them for me cause I have tried everything and right now the whole Fitbit app is useless to me.
